Ok couldn't help it I am chuckling.
Seperate them by color. Although I have to to leave shauns work close out and wash them all together, he is a framer and he gets really dirty at work. But anyay, wash your dark colors and and bright colors seperately and your whites seperatly. Use warm for the whites, and I always use cold for any colors dark or bright to keep them from fading and the coloring from running. As far as bleaching the colors, use clorox bleach 2 for colors its safe and won't ruin your clothes. Hope this helps.

Re: **moms or dads i need your help!
I don't understand where the dark black spots could be coming from after you wash? Is there something in your dryer causing that?
Re: **moms or dads i need your help!
About the black spots--do you work with anything like tar? Do you forget things like pens in the pockets of things? If there isn't anything on the inside of your washer/drier causing the spots--they have to be caused by something that's coming in on your clothes.

it has happened at my moms house and at the laundry mat! it's something i'm doing..........maybe it's left over detergent but i put the recommended amount in
Re: **moms or dads i need your help!
I always start the water running in the washer, add liquid detergent, then add the clothes. If I don't do that, the detergent can leave oily looking spots on the clothes, although they aren't black spots. Could that be what you are seeing?

I'm sorry but yeah this is a cute thread...I am still laughing about "where's my ring crap"
Well I'm highly O.C.D over things so I duh know if I will hurt or help ya...we have an H.E washer and dryer now which is a pain in my butt... have you just run hot water abd bleach in the washer empty..gotten in there (no dont get IN there...you know what I mean :p) and scrubbed the washer down...give the dryer and good looking at aswell...god knows lil things get stuck in there that we miss all the time... it does sound like the spots are coming from the dryer..some where in there...
I wash whites on super hot with white vinegar and mild soap..white vinegar is amazing as far as cutting grease on clothes, softening them and getting whites whiter..but doesnt seem to fade dark/brites at all...and the bonus is super cheap and you can buy in bulk. So I would try try that if you dont want to use bleach...run a super hot empty load with vinegar and see if that cleans up the spots you cant seem to locate.
I wash socks and undies seperate in super hot aswell...along with bedding and cleaning rags...even though I use vinegar to clean it still creeps me out thinking about dut mites roling around with my clothes lol.
other then that I have no idea what to tell ya.. I could go on for hours on the subject of my insainty as far as laundry goes but then I would want to talk about organizing canned goods...C.D's and products in the shower
Hope something helps and you get to the bottom of it quick..good luck!

This is what I do also...when I actually help do laundry and when I used to do my own (*before I was married). I couldn't stand the liquid soap sitting on my clothes while the water filled up so I started adding the soap first. Here's what is probably a very male recommendation and even more probably WRONG: I wash everything in COLD less chance of screwing up
*Here's the foot note to the after being married part. My wife does 99% of all our laundry not because its her "job" but...and I'm NOT admitting to this...probably due to my incompetence and my "wash everything in cold!" theory. -hey it worked when I was in high school when all there really was to wash where jeans and tshirts!
Be careful with that ring buddy...the "one that rules them all" will ultimately be hers :P
Re: **moms or dads i need your help!
you know what............i got the perfect solution! i'm dropping them off at my moms house! she'll do them
i'm the only child......spoiled :D
and i don't have to buy her a ring to do it! even better!
Re: **moms or dads i need your help!
