    Reputation problems....
I tried to add to someones reputation, and when I clicked on the little scale nothing happened and all I got was a little "bloop" sound. My pop-up blocker is off and I have it set to Popups okay for this site. Any reason why its not letting me do this?

There's no "administrative" reason why you should have issues with the rep system. I've had troubles with my pop-up blockers though, even when they are turned "off." Usually holding down either the shift key or the ctrl key while clicking on the "rep button" will help the window open properly.

If that doesn't work for ya, let us know, and maybe one of our more technically savy folks will have some better advice.

Nothing happened, just the same "bloop" sound. I tried right clicking it and choosing to open in new window, and still nothing.

have you been able to give reputation in the past or is this a recent problem? what browser are you using and is it on mac or pc?

Hmmm...I'm stumped then. :( I'm sure someone else will have more ideas, though.

Hold on just a sec! Its not just reputation. Its links in general. I can't click on any link that goes outside this site. I just tried to click on that Firefox link, and it made the bloop sound and wouldn't go anywhere. Arg!

Ok, I brought up a new window and was able to click on the Firefox link. Problem...everytime I close down the window that was the result of that link (or any link for that matter), I get an error and both windows shut down.

I'm a creature of habit, very resistant to change - tell me why Firefox is so much better than IE, and if I don't like Firefox, how hard will it be to change back? What happens to all my bookmarks?

I want to be brave, but have to be convinced! :D

I was able to import all my bookmarks to Firefox. So far I've had no problems and it actually seems faster for some reason in comparison to IE. You can easily switch which one is your default.

Nothing happens to your IE, firefox is just an additional browser. I use both. Sometimes at the same time.

Robin, FireFox imports all of your book marks. It's very simple and has on screen instructions that will guide you right through.

As a web designer, I must check compatibility across multiple browsers, so I have IE and FireFox going at the same time all the time. It's just two different browsers. If you don't like FireFox, then you can just use IE and not open FF

Oh, and Robin if you need help, I can connect to your computer using GoToMyPC.com and i'll do all the work for you straight from my computer...it's pretty neat stuff :)

If by "neat" you mean "creepy". O.O I had to call Verizon up about DSL problems back home and the chick I was on the phone with did that remote-access stuff...it was creepy as hell talking on the phone with someone while she moved the mouse around my PC screen and clicked on stuff...

I was at home alone one night playing games on my computer. My ex-husband's computer was right next to mine and he was at work. All of a sudden, Microsoft Word opens on his computer and he starts typing remotely from work "Hello Amy." I jumped right out my skin and it is probably still sitting somewhere in Savannah.
