    Sweet. :sweeet:

I think most people that keep snakes will get get bit sooner or later. Most don't hurt too much.

What caused the bite? Sometimes husbandry problems can lead to stress which can instigate a bite.

It depends on the snake. I have some that would probably never bite me, and I have others that make me cautious every time I peek in on them.

I think any mammal bite would be worse than a snake bite. The only thing that freaks me out and makes me jump is their speed. I still jump every time I feed my BCI.

Feel free to come to my house, I have a couple that would help you out! My adult female BP has quite an attitude on her, as does one of my juvies..and the carpet pythons, well, they're still small

I've been bit many times, mostly by the young snakes that aren't used to being handled. I would rather be bit by a snake than any mammal out there.

I got bitten on my wrist by an adult female BP not long ago, and while it wasn't excrutiating or anything, I certainly felt it...throbbed for ages and was a little swollen and bruised for a couple of days afterwards. She got really lucky and hit one of the big veins in my wrist is all. There are pics around here somewhere...I put a thread up about it. She was a new girl and underfed, and -very- -very- hungry. She's gained 200g since and still gives me the eye every time I slide the tub out even an inch.

I have not yet been bit, but I cant wait till he bites me I just want to know the feeling and see his reaction when he does so that I know not to be shocked hehe. My Bp is very calm when I pick him the only times that he jumps back is when I put my arm down and its anywhere near its head but he still doesnt strike its kind of weird. Another thing that concerned me about him is that he has been little bit scared lately around me or when I move my hand around him he will sometimes jerk his head back. But once I grab him he is fine he just moves around and smells me :)

    Re: biting
Dean these are indicating gender. It goes male, female, unsexed...so a 0.1 dog would be a female dog, 1.1 ball pythons would indicate 1 male, 1 female and if their are unsexed animals it would be indicated in the last number as in 1.2.5 lizards....1 male, 2 females, 5 unsexed. Hope that helps.

Get bit on a weekly basis. Always my fault just in a hurry and whack, then it stings and burns and bleeds and I move on. LOL

Been attacked by both my snakes. my bp thought my hand was her lunch, and my 5.5ft RTB decided that no matter what I said, he wasn't gonna go back in his cage. Both drew a little blood, neither hurt. Both had major shock value.

both of my bp's have each bitten me once. floyd, during one of his first feedings. when i went to grab him out of his feeding box. he was about to shed and half blind because of it so i don't think he realized it was me. didn't hurt at all. then kiara, when i was walking thru the house with her, i was coming up to a doorway and i think she got spooked, thinking i was gonna run her into it. i didn't realize she bit me for a few secs. then it stung a little and there were a few drops of blood but no biggie! i wouldn't worry about it.

    Re: biting
BP's dont hurt, they just tag you real quick and thats that, more of a shock than pain. Anacondas are different, they just open thier mouth and kinda swing thier teeth around, and you will get cut, and bleed, alot.

My most painful bite was putting a french fry in my 3 year olds mouth, lets just say, WHO THE HELL BITES DOWN ON A FRIGGIN FRENCH FRY THAT HARD!!!! drew blood and everything.
