update on my 50 cbb girls

this one is one of my biggest i have 5 that are this size. i will be switching them to small rats in the next week or two.

well here are some new pics of a few of them. they are all growing like weeds. i cant wait to get them up to size. i now have about 40 of them on F/T wich was a lot easyer to do then you might think. if any one out there is trying to do this and needs help just let me know and i will tell you how i did it. or maby i will just start another thred on the subject. if any one out there is thinking about getting a big start in bp's i recomend doing what i did. just keep in mind that i go through 50 f/t weened rats a week now. i order from rodent pro and it comes out to about 300 a month.

i could not be happyer with these animals. they are all healthy and growing like weeds. i go into my bp room and just sit and watch them in amazement.

If you're working with codoms and recessives you still may want normal girls laying around....:confused: Make your own poss hets and codoms for breeding stock?

i am working on 1.1 pairs now. things at my new job working for the Department of Homeland Security are going better than i thought they would and i would just like to use my funds and fill my useable space with a little higher end morphs. as we all know rack space is alloways an issue.

yes it is. i have a few hush hush projects in the works as well! i dont have enaugh deals in the works to fill them now but when i am buying adults the racks fill much faster than with babies.

I think Lawrence was commenting not on the fact that you're selling some, but ALL, and I must agree I was a little taken back when I saw your ad.

If I found something that would make me more than happy(like Matt's newcomers would), I would very likely sell off by future breeders that aren't doing me any good yet

Ok, but before he said that I thought he was just kinda flipping them, let'em grow a bit then sell them for a profit, but I totally understand funding new projects, so easy there, like I said I was just real surprised at first before he explained

It doesn't sounds anything like flipping to ME but it may to someone else. If I found something that could produce for me 2 years earlier, that would be something worth considering as well.

I don't know - to some people, selling off future breeders that "aren't doing me any good YET" speaks that one was not prepared for the actual work involved in raising up babies and can't or aren't willing to put actual time into this business.

Every breeder I know covets their normal females, it just seems very odd that he's not keeping a single normal female for his future projects.

I wish Matt all the best in whatever projects he chooses. Hopefully he can sell these girls to someone who will take great care of them!

i am not makeing a cent on them i am actually selling them for less than i paid. i paid 50 per animal. if you buy all 50 i am selling them for 46 a pice. i just need the money fast as the deal i am working on is so good i know it wont last long. an no i will not reviel the deal until it is completed. as many of you would gladly do the same. it is not a public deal. it is a private deal worked out between me and a breeder.

not to sound too defensive but did you read my whole post? I said before he said what the deal was... his ad is just, hey, I'm selling these snakes, and I just thought it odd since he was so psyched on them such a short time ago. THEN I read about the new project thing and I can respect that. So at first I think you can see why I was so surprised... or maybe you can't.
