I'm tired of this rain! I'm even more tired of this wind! Also Ed, my backyard looks like a miniature lake.

Oh I know! I was down Ocean City a year or two ago and we had a horrible storm! The highway was under about 2 or 3 feet of water. I remember being stuck out in it with my friend and standing on the bench in one of those little bus stop booths and the water was just about up to our feet. Can't drive when your car is well underwater. I was tempted to buy a little raft and paddle on back to our hotel room, but my friend was not having any of that. That was a fun night.

Good luck Ed, I hope your house doesn't flood out!!!!!!

I just tried to come home from work, and there are detours all over the place........took me an hour and a half , and it's usually a 30min drive!

(ALSO) I had to work in this crap all night......heavy rain, just to get peoples stupid TV back on..............even if commercial power is out, i have to put generators out on telephone poles to get people tv back up! arrrrrrrrrr!

(well we have telephone too! so i guess people do need their phone just in case of emergencies! so in that case i understand!) but it still sucks to work in.....and the boss didn't call once, not even to say how are things, knowing i was on shift by myself, with no help. from 4:00pm to 12:30am (but if i do something wrong he doesn't hesitate to call! ......Thanks a lot Bill i see you really care! (rant over)

YUCK Tyree! That doesn't sound like fun at all!

My power just went out. I called BG&E and put in a request. Then I was down my basement looking for heat packs for my guys & girls. Of course my flashlight batteries had to die... and by the time I found the heat packs and were about to set everyone up with one the power came back on.

I knew it was going to happen since our power goes out 98% of the time when it's windy or storming. Anyways the heat packs are now up here in case the power goes out again. In which case it probably will.

Stay safe and dry everyone. Sounds like awful weather. I guess it's not so very bad that we got snow here in Toledo yesterday though I was pretty whiney about snow this far into spring. What rotten weather everyone's having! :(

Yeah it's crazy flooding around here - I haveto cross a bridge to get ino my town, and we're all pretty much stuck in it now. Our major roads travel along the river and they (along with their businesses) are all flooded out. I think I have some pictures of last year .

    Hi All,

I live right off the Hudson river. My apt is 150 feet above sea level, but there are rivers of water rolling down the street. At the low spots, the water filling the sewers and drain pipes is so powerfull that the sewer manholes have been lifted and pushed several feet from the openings. If a car hits one of the open holes, it is totalled!!!! -- the car that is, those manholes are virtually indestructable. They closed all the Yonkers schools due to flooding. My kids are home being miserable and playing SIMS2...

    Wishing everyone a safe day!

Wow, I am really upset to hear this.. I hope that things improve soon. We should have some minor flooding once the Foot of snow melts that fell between last night and now.
