    Price of Feeders?
Just wondering what you guys pay for your mice. Live and Frozen. Not that I am paying anything right now but just looking to gather all the info I can.

I know the guy I get my mice from charges .50 per adult live mouse. Then again he has his own building that is nothing but rats and mice. I'm not sure if he charges everyone these prices or just the people he is friends with and or has worked with.

I know finding a local breeder feeder can be tough but they are a lot easier to get snake food from and cheaper then a pet store.

Pet stores in this area charge 2.00 per mouse, 4.00 per small rat and up the scale it goes.

At the last show I priced feeders the guy had 20 count live adult mice for 16.00, 25 count frozen adult mice for 12.00, the gentleman beside me got 200.00 frozen small rats for.. I want to say 90.00 or so.

Live adult mice feeders here are $1.69 each. No clue on rat feeders, I raise my own and those that I sell off to friends go for a lot less than pet store prices.

Feeder prices around me are ridiculous! Luckily I've been able to get some at wholesale through the aquatics store I work, one place we order from also sells feeder rats/mice and other pet "small animals" to petstores.

Mice prices locally to me are:
    Pinkies: $0.99
    Fuzzies: $1.29
    Hoppers: $1.69
    Adults: $1.99

Rats for either frozen or live:
    Weanlings: $4
    Small: $5.99
    Medium: $5.99
    Large: $6.99
    Jumbo: $8.29

With the prices of feeders around me, I've broke down and I'm going to try my hand at breeding ASFRs (for hopefully a reduced smell) and regular ol' hooded rats at a minimum.

Oh yes, any stores selling live pinkies sell them at the adult price of 2.00

Thus why I've started breeding my own rats.

    Re: Price of Feeders?
Pretty much the same here Larry. I usually charge .25 cents for a pinkie rat, .50 cents for a fuzzy or pup, .75 cents for a weanling, 1.00 for a small, anything bigger than a small is 1.50. Since I can't use anything bigger than a small rat, I'm always glad to sell those off and help folks with larger snakes to feed. It's ridiculous what the pet stores charge for the larger rats.

I have a wholesaler near me with great wholesale rat prices:

    $1 small
    $2 medium
    $3 large
    $4 jumbo

Mice are 50 cents a pop no matter what size.

    Re: Price of Feeders?
I pay about 5 dollars for a big bag of weanling rats(Sorry, no mice :()

There's always websites like rodentpro.com that will charge about .30 cents for each hopper in a bag of like 100.
