    Average Prices for 2007
I am trying to narrow down what snake I want next and the determining factor is price. Trying to see what the average prices for this year will be.

    Fire Ball Python = $
    Pinstripe Ball Python = $
Yellow Belly Ball Python = $
    Tiger Ball Python = $
    Woma Ball Python = $
    Butter Ball Python = $
    Cinnamon Ball Python = $

If anyone could give you an honest answer for this they would be rich from breeding balls! I for one hate these questions since my people give you the prices they WANT the snakes to be... not realistic prices. (that becuase no one really knows what the prices will be for an upcoming year...

Best bet wait and see... buy in the middle of the season during the "flood" and you will get the best deal.

    Hope this helps

When is the middle of the season? Like summer time? And what breeders/places to buy would you recommend...and if you say kingsnake...I went there and well how do you do a search?

The "flood" usually happens a month before the daytona show or right after. Right after Daytona is when business slows down and prices on younger snakes get very low... Buyers market!

You could go with any of the "Big Breeders" but you might not get the best deal. But you will not get ripped off and you will get a quality animal. I also breed and carry all the animals you have listed... Adam at 8 ball pythons is also a favorite around here.

Yeah great prices are down here in miami after the hurricanes.. you will get a deal n a half.

Dont wasting your time Ive asked all breeders that where out and had babies in the oven and they couldnt tell me a god honest price. They said have to wait to see what the market looks like.

I think my cap would be $750 any of the ones listed is there any possibility during the good times?

    Fire Ball Python = maybe?
Pinstripe Ball Python = probobly not but possible
Yellow Belly Ball Python = Yes
Tiger Ball Python = What is this?
Woma Ball Python = maybe but highly doubt it
Butter Ball Python = Wont go that low
    Cinnamon Ball Python = Yes

If adam will let you pick off that list for $750 (which we'll make him do lol :) j/k) I would go with The Butter (great snake killer combos and most expensive) or Pinstripe (awesome snake GREAT seller at any price, fun combos)

Sorry Jon, they won't be from me ... I don't sell cheap ... I'd rather price them at what I feel they're worth and keep them for myself if they don't sell .... but this year is going to be a blood bath for sure ... For example, I have already heard people speculating that butters will be at the 1K mark by Daytona ... I'd guess around $750 by the fall if you had cash and found someone with a lot of credit card debt or someone that wants to "get into a new project". ;)

Now I'm depressed. Wasn't last year enough of a bloodbath already? Hmmm, maybe I can market a line of bloodbath shampoos and conditioners?

Im going to have to disagree with you... again :) See i breed and do some buying and reselling (oh no! lol) This time last year there were TONS of animals for sale, basically anything you wanted you could get... Right now there is practically NOTHING for sale in the wholesale market from Butters down... that is a GREAT sign! So before i run screaming the sky is falling i would wait and see... i dont see butters anywhere near $1000 this year. And if by some tiny little slight chance :P im wrong it just means people just dont think all the work they do is worth anything... and thats just sad.

I guess it is kinda fun, but frustrating when you can't afford much.
I have narrowed it down to about four that I would like to have. So the hunt is on. I'm definitely going to get two of the four within this year. Wish me luck.

As far as the difference ... not much so far. Basically the difference would be that of the Black Pastel to Cinnamon Pastel, both snake do the same thing but they have diferent outward appearences... (The lesser can make a Platnium, but we really do not understand how... BUT i heard there is a Butter "Platnium" too...???) confusing stuff huh

Adam, I noticed in your expected hatchlings for the year you said you would have some lessers for sale? What would be the general ballpark for their price? Would they be around 1k, 2k etc? thanks in advance.

EDIT: Just realized the potential list is from last year. nvm, in the event that some are available, I am looking to get my first 8ball and am wondering about the going rates on your lessers.

I haven't quite figured that out yet ... Best thing you could do would be to email me ( adam@8ballpythons.com ) and let me know what you're looking for (male, female, late hatch, early hatch, etc) and I'll work with you to get a lesser into your collection in a way that works with your budget.

Thank you for considering my animals!

I wouldn't buy a snake from someone that I had never spoken with. I at least want to have a short conversation with the person. I'd prefer to meet but from where I live that makes it kind of hard. The closest breeder is a 3 hour trip one way and with gas at $3.25 for every 17 miles, I can't afford to drive down there and back.

Yea... I don't know why but for some reason I was under the impression that lessers and Mojave are the same price. Little did I know that lessers are really roughly 2x the price of a Mojave. Now that I did a little more research and actually found a price tag on a lesser, rather than my assumptions I feel a little... umm... whats the word I'm looking for? Somewhere between naive and dumb. lol.

Actually what got me liking lessers was a beautiful mojave that I saw that had blushing out the whazoo. Technical term? No. But useful, well for me it is. I know that mojaves blushing is variable at best so if I can find one that strikes my fancy I may go that route, if not... savings account here I come.

Ok, can you clear something up for me? I just saw on one site (forgot which) a mojave going for $875, and one on another site for $2,200. Which one is closer to the typical asking price of a mojave? I know the general rule you get what you pay for, but a 1.4k difference?
