im just learning about all of this soooooo
Can someone maybe make a chart of what can make what?

Like I think I understand what a super is (a super albino thats bred with a normal will give birth to all albinos right?) and if so how can you tell which snake is a super?

A super is the result of two co-doms of the same kind being bred together eg. pastel x pastel = super pastel. Albino is a recessive trait and therefore has no "super". :D

I dont think so but I'm not completely sure. www.newenglandreptile.com has an explanation on all the types of genes.

    right!

Any true super form will result in all co-dom morphs when bred to a normal or any recessive animals for that matter.

edit: super forms of snakes look different. Take 2 lessers and breed them together, get a solid white snake for example. In order for a morph to be listed as co-dom it only takes one allele of a certain gene to show a visual mutation and when bred to another co-dom an animal is produced showing both alleles. Sort of confusing, and honestly, that confuses me at nearly 1 AM

a super pastel bred to a pastel statistically should yield 50% supers and 50% pastels

yeaaah thanks, this forum is an alot bigger help than i thought it would be, my bp is a gift from my cousin and her husband who bought it just for the sake of owning one, so they did just enough research to take good care of it but not really anything as far as breeding goes which i think I may want to get into once I can say that i know enough (hopefully once i am settled in a home of my own after collage and after I get my music studio up and running)

oh and also, how long does a normal bp usually live? and how long do female bp's stay furtile?

and does breeding effect their life span?

Everyone here is more than willing to help, like others say its a family you know? before you know it, you will be answering other questions. It is also very rare that someone will ask a stupid question, theres like no such thing, unless your asking why is you snake takeing a poop, that might be kinda dumb...lol just kiddin.. also, if someone hasnt alwready posted it here, its on another thread but http://www.snake-zone.dk/Wizard/morph.phpthere you go, have a ball. havnt found the mix for the caramel though..Not all breeders will reveal ALL there secrets you know? but you can learn and experiment, make projects and well have funny helping nature create life :)

can get a bit expensive though when you get into morphs...so far the record i have seen is $25,000, to $30,000 :):O

Into their 30s from what ive heard. I know the Sutherlands had some balls that were in there 20s that were still breeding, just laying smaller clutches. I do not think "normal breeding" (years off) affects their lifespan.
