i saw this bird outside my house.....(possible DUW)

anyone know what it might be? i think it was still a baby becuase it still had trouble flying but i think it's learning.

Some sort of quail?

I have only seen one other Bird that looks like that and it is a Pinneated Grouse or Prairie Chicken. but I could be wrong.. let me look around and see what I can find.

Looks like some sort of quail...could it have gotten out of someone's coop?

there are quails around here but in the mountain areas and dont live near mountains.my mom at first asked me if it was some kind of baby chicken but it didnt look like a baby chicken to me.

well i was close lol it is a Bobwhite hen. She is a little cuttie. (good eats form what i have heard)

I have been yearning to breed pheasants for quite some time now. I got to livestock shows and get the Game Bird Gazette magazine. *sigh* someday...too many interests, never enough time or money :rolleye2:

i didnt know we would have these kinds of animals here.all i mainly see are seagulls,crows,house sparrows, things like that. thanks for the help
