Brad, I would rather not disturb breeding snakes by doing maintence around them while they are breeding, when they are finished breeding....then its clean up time. ;)

Daniel, I like to keep all the breeding females on wet cypress mulch this time of year in case I dont find the eggs right away, that way they will be fine. :)

These breedings will produce Pastels that are 66% het orange ghost, in my eyes these are some of the hottest Pastels there are. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...g?t=1175544248

Do you have more pics of pastel 66% het ghost? If het shows no visual differences over a normal, I don't see where being 66% het would make a difference.

Tim, almost all the Pastels 66% het orange ghosts are cleaner than regular pastels and have the light faded head most of the time. that little bit of orange ghost makes a visable difference. :)

Dont do a thing to it, right out of the bag. only thing I dont like is too much moisture, but that drys up after awhile.

The balls really seem to like it, and with the added moisture they shed clean and in one piece. :)

I always thought that some ghost hets have a 'different' look to them...I guess the pastel gene really brings that out in some snakes...

I agree with that Brad, hets have a brighter and crisper look to them, mix it with a pastel and regular pastels start to look like supers. :)

Wouldn't the faded head on these make them easier to pic out a true het from a group of 66% hets? I guess what I am asking is wouldn't you be able to pic out the pastels that are het ghost as compared to pastels that are possible het ghost?

    Re: POG Breeding.
I think its along the same lines as the so called 'marker thing' in het pieds....something you notice more often in the hets....but also see randomly in normals now and then...could have something to do with the line breeding, could have something to do with the gene....you can't really make the call for certain....but if it makes you feel better to select the poss hets with the marker or different look to them, go for it!
