It is killing me to have to wait for the eggs to come.. then I have to wait for them to hatch. My god, ball python breeding is making me go crazy. Does this ever go away. I am about to go flipping crazy waiting.:rolleye2:

I bet you would LOL.. I never have this much patience with anything. I am a "i want it now" kind of guy. This is not that way for sure

Don't think that I don't look every time I get a chance. I just got eggs, two days ago, and I'm already looking for baby heads. I know it's a little premature, but it's so fun, I keep doing it anyway.

My girl just laid hers on Sunday. I know how you feel with the waiting! I swear I looked EVERY day, sometimes twice a day. They will come..right when you're not looking.

And yeah, I'm already counting the days to babies. :)

how do you think i feel, i want to make some baby balls but im waiting on my second snake, i got atleast 500days before i can start breeding. till then i read and read and read while i feel my patients withering away lol. congrats with the eggs.

I've about lost my mind in this first breeding season. I've decided if they breed, they breed, if they don't they don't. We've done everything we can think to do and haven't seen a lock yet but have one female that looked way larger than normal but it may have just been wishful thinking. I'm done staring at them, counting days and worrying more about my snake's love life than my own.


If the darn things want to make baby snakes, they will. If not, there's always next year. :sigh2:

Sevo, I know what your saying man! mine are due on Monday, and i will be away from fri to sunday UG!!!!! I don't think i will be able to handle it!

My wait is going to be even longer bro, next season is going to be my first. I just can't wait.:( Gotta be patient though.

I think everyone should read Jo's post. She says it best. Believe me, the patience pays off in the end. What makes this hobby so great, is the enjoyment of raising your own breeding stock, and hatching babies from t2 snakes that you raised from wee little ones. Last year I actually appreciated my clutches more from the snakes that I raised than from the adults that I bought as adults. My first Ball Python ever is about to lay her second clutch, and I think it is my most anticipated clutch of the year. Must be the sentimental thing.
