45 Days POS!!
Well, After 45 greuling days, my Pastel Female finally decided to throw mw a bone, with one exception. I woke up this morning to 4 beautiful fat eggs. What's the problem with this you ask. She still has one left in her and it appears to be a good way from her cloaca. I will post up the final clutch weight after the last egg comes out. So far the first 4 eggs weighed in at 388.7 grams. Very nice eggs from a smaller girl. By the way she weighed about 1650 grams after POS. The four eggs that are out so far candled with tons of veins. Momma Pastel was bred by my Pinstripe male. This happens to be my first clutch from a Pastel female and my first clutch from a Pinstripe. Hopefully this will be my first Lemon Blast, but that is a whole differnet waiting game. On to the pics.

Re: 45 Days POS!!
Congratulations Tim! ... I was wondering how she was doing for you.
Give the last egg a day or two before you worry too much, sometimes they just work themselves out on their own.
My prediction ... 1.2 lemon blasts and 0.1 pin ... the ball gods will be good to you for making you wait the extra two weeks. ;) :sweeet:

Re: 45 Days POS!!
Thanks Allison and Harold.
Adam, thanks for the good vibes. You didn't give a prediction on the fifth egg. However, I hope you're right, but I try not to get too happy this early. You can bet your butt that I'll be candling patterns at about day 40 though. I am pretty sure I won't be able to see the Lemon Blasts, but I'll be able to tell which ones are atleast pinstripes. I did have a female that kept one egg for an extra day last year, so I am not too worried about her retained egg at the moment. Thanks for the advice. Have you received your first clutch yet?

Re: 45 Days POS!!
Thanks Karma and D. Phoebe (Pastel girl) made me a very happy camper this morning. I finally have a reason to have the incubator running now. I was beginning to think we fired it up to early, but I guess you can never prepare too much.

Re: 45 Days POS!!
Thanks Justin and DJ.
And, the last egg finally came out about 10 minutes ago. It is a boob egg and only weighed 64.6 grams. It does have good veins, so hopefully it will pull through. I have to go get some work done right now, but I'll get a pic of the fifth egg a little later. Total clutch count five eggs with a weight of 452.3.

Re: 45 Days POS!!
Thanks for all the positive outlook. I am sending luck to all of the expecting breeders out there. Nothing can feel better than a clutch of healthy eggs. No matter how long we work with our collections, what problems may arise and all of the time spent treating mites, cleaning cages feeding and everything else that goes with raising and keeping snakes, the arrival of eggs makes it all worthwhile.
Good Luck to all this season,
