nah bro, i'm as quiet as a mouse! charmaine handles all the softball stuff. she played all through school and college.


i do think some of the coaches and parents get too worked up during the games though!

I love watching kids play sports when they are around that age or younger. She looks like she's ready to have some fun!

Why do I see Vaughn's future including a spot on American's Funniest Videos (you know the ones where the kid goes to swing and dad ends up hit in the....) LOL

jo, we have a no bats and real balls rule in the house! only nerf balls allowed inside. if not, everything would get smashed. i definately watch myself around this one with a bat in her hand!

this is a dream come true for my wife, she played ball all through school. our other two daughters aren't really into sports. our youngest(this one) is. she could hit a pitch at 3,4 years of age! she's 5 now, so old enough for the rec league...

Those pics are absolutely awesome! It looks like she's more than ready for the start of the season. When is her first game? Does she play a certain position? (our son's first try at t'ball last year had the kids rotating through positions)

christie, they're rotating positions for now. they only play infield now anyway. they aren't alot of the 6 and under teams!

That is wonderful that she is playing sports. There is a link I will try to find that shows the value of girls who play sports growing up and the % of girls/women who played sports and how they relate later in life ie are leaders, not likey to be around on in abusive relationships etc. It was really eye opening.

Let us know thru the season how she and her team or doing .

I sort of know how your wife feels and will feel the first time she takes the field. I know when my son at 7 first took the field to play football I cried.
I had always wanted to play football when I was young but back then girls just weren't allowed so I always played softball from about 9-18yo.

It was one of my favorite moments as I am sure it will be for your wife and you.

Sweet! Its that time of year again!! I love baseball. My brother had a game today, and took out the pitcher...!! The mound is 4ft to close to t the palte, becasue it is a smaller feild for a smaller leauge, so my brother got a hold of it and hit the kid in the temple. We knwo the kid too! And the bal leaves the bat 2-3 times faster than what it was thrown at, it was a 55 MPH pitch. He is really lucky.
