Excaped!! =/
:rainon: I'm so sad!!! Lilly got out last night and I have to go back to school tomorrow! :tears: I'm visiting my mom for my spring break and I had to bring Lilly. I've been here all week and she has been fine, then when we woke up this morning...no Lilly! :depressed I was supposed to go back to OK this morning, but I called into work and told them I couldn't get back in time. :worry: I have been looking everywhere, and I'm going to go get a couple of mice and put them out to see if I can lure her out. I have to leave tomorrow at the latest....and what if I can't find her?! :tears: I don't want to leave her here!! I was so happy that I was going to be able to get her back to my room and in her proper cage today... I just want my girly back and safe :rainon:

Re: Excaped!! =/
Look under the fridge or anything else that would offer her a nice hot spot. Look everywhere even the places you think are impossible hiding spots. Good luck I hope you find your baby.

Re: Excaped!! =/
and look in every nook and cranny of your cage! is there anything (a log for example) that she could squeeze into...

Re: Excaped!! =/
Awe man, check under cushions too. When mine got out it didn't go too far. Retrace your steps. Good luck.
Let's find Lily! Let's find Lily! Let's find Lily! Let's find Lily! Let's find Lily!

Re: Excaped!! =/
I wish it was possible for her to be hidden in her cage...Since I'm at home I couldn't bring the whole set up so it's kinda a make shift one. Just for this week there was only one hide and a whole bunch of balled up paper towels. She was in a bag actually with a drawstring, b/c although my mom got some sort of tub for her, we couldn't get anything (temps, humidity) even close to right and since in the bag the temps were ok, she has been in there. That's why I was so happy to be able to take her back to school today so she could go back in her own proper cage. The little sneak....just last night I was showing her to my cousin and her husband and he had to say "what if you wake up and she's wrapped around your arm or something!" And of course I had to say..." Oh I don't think she can get out of that..." :ohmygod: Yeah...probablly shouldn't have said that...

Re: Excaped!! =/
My first snake got out of his tank one night and I looked everywhere! It was one room and I tore it apart. I couldn't find him anywhere, till this day I still have no idea where he was but 1 month later he woke me up by knocking something down and I was so happy. I don't understand how I didn't find him until a month later, he must of been hiding somewhere real good. All I'm sayin is check every possible place, I thought I did but I must have missed something obviously, and his was in that one little room the entire time. I wish you the best of luck!

Re: Excaped!! =/
Thanks! I'm about to head out and buy a few mice to lure her out tonight. I know she is hungery (which may be part of the reason she decided to go exploring) b/c I didn't feed her last week since she was in shed and I was getting ready to bring her down here (I didn't want her to take a car ride with a full belly) So I hope she will come after them tonight. My mom's house is...trashed at best =/ And all the doors are open so Lilly has full run of the house if she wants it. *brat* I just hope she's hungery enough to eat tonight...it's a 5 hour drive back to school and I really don't want to have to make it without her. My mom and brother went out of town this week too, so she would be home alone all week, and I'd be in another state....*sigh* not somthing I want to do. =/

Re: Excaped!! =/
may i suggest, next time, leave your snake at home for the week. it's so much better than stressing out your snake. they don't appreciate, want or need a vacation :P
i sure hope you find her... but if you don't, can your parents watch out for her for ya?

Speaking of that, I think i'm leaving for a week soon. If I feed the snake before I leave do you think it would be OK without a water change for that week?

Yes.

Re: Excaped!! =/
I would have left her at school, but I don't have a thermostat yet and I have to mist her cage 3-4 times a day to keep the temps down and humidity up. I know it causes stress to bring her but I figured bringing her would be better than having her get burned and dried up. Before I got her I let the cage go for a day or two and the temps shot up to well over 110 *eeps* As soon as I get a thermostat life will be so much easier for me and her...assuming I find her. And yeah, my mom will look out for her if I don't find her today or tomorrow, but that would be a 5 hour drive I would have to make to come back and get her. I'm just hopeing I can catch her tonight =/

Re: Excaped!! =/
that sucks i know the feeling of having an escapee on the loose!
a few weeks ago my little albino male was missing! he managed to rip through part of the screen top and i was stressing hard especially cuz hes a pretty big investment. but i found him within 10 mins of searching and he was under a couch about 5 feet from his enclosure.
usually they dont stray too far away from their enclosure. keep looking and check the most obvious spots cuz sometimes they are hiding right infront of your face!
the bait idea sounds good. maye even set up a warm spot somewhere as well to try to lure her out of hiding to get warm.
good luck with your search i really hope you find her!

Re: Excaped!! =/
Yeah, now I'm just trying to keep the mice from excaping :P I bought two mice and I only have one container so I'm about to go get another one so the little bugger will quit chewing through that paper container they give you. I have her hide in a small box with a heat lamp on the floor, and I guess all I can do now is search some more and wait *sigh*

Re: Excaped!! =/

Re: Excaped!! =/
Hehe I'm kinda glad my mom went out of town today...she would die if she saw the kitchen :P Thats where Lilly's cage was, so I figure she is in there or the laundry room which is attached to the kitchen. SO....there is a mouse in a small cage in each room and I put flower on the floor incase I fall asleep hehe That way I can see if she came out to see the mice or not. And where she went if I miss her. I hope it works, and even if it doesn't:tears: I have alot of cleaning up to do tomorrow ^_^ Do they make snake size collars with little bells :giggle: ???

Re: Excaped!! =/
Yea, I left my boy at home for a week all by his lonesome and he was fine. I fed him before I left and the day I returned. Besides, my mom wouldn't let me bring him home anyway.
**Keep us updated about Lily>

Re: Excaped!! =/
Flour...good idea! Cow bell would be better though-next time :-)
-
Re: Excaped!! =/
haha yeah...I'm not letting her out of my site once I get her back...I'm going to put one of those key buzzers on her or something...so far the flour and mice isn't working :rainon: I was so sure I would be able to get her to come out since I know she is hungery, but once I started thinking about it, snakes are ambush hunters, they will lay there and wait for their food to come to them. I don't know that she will come after these mice. But I hope so, the longer I go with out hearing or seeing anything, the more bummed I get. I have to leave tomorrow with or with out her :tears: and that is the last thing I want to do. I don't know what else I can do to find her. :confuzd:

I would have and will once I get a thermostat, but my cage temps and humidity are too unrelyable to leave her for anything more than a day.

Haha, I got lucky there..my mom kinda freaked when she held Lilly for the first time, but now she is just as eager to show her off as I am...but she seems to be the only one in my extended family that likes her...hehe I got told several times " Don't you bring her over HERE!!" :P
-
Re: Excaped!! =/
Well, the mice were out all night and I can't tell that she was out and about at all. If she was she went around the flour and waited till I went to bed. I'm about to tear the house apart again now that she is probably settled somewhere, but it's starting to look like I'm going back to Oklahoma with out a snake :tear: I've been finding lots of spiders *shudder* but no Lilly....I think she is hiding behind all those spider webs just to creep me out ^_^

Re: Excaped!! =/
Any luck? R u back in OK now? Was ur mom upset?
I hear of other ball's escaping and they always turn up. Lily will too (If she hasn't already). I did pray for her though
-
Re: Excaped!! =/
No such luck but thank you!!! I have been praying for her to show up and be ok too, it's nice to know that there are other people out there thinking of her
I'm back at school, minus one cute little Lilly. :sigh2: I know it doesn't do any good to worry about her, but I can't help it. She has full run of the house for the week, until my mom and brother get back next weekend. So the soonest I will know anything will be then...
I left a deeper pan with water in it and a couple of shoe boxes with paper towels balled up in them. I also left the bag and her hide and put a heat lamp on it so there is a warm, dark place that is kinda familar. I'm hopeing she will find it and go back there at night. Lil brat :disbelief haha

Re: Excaped!! =/
Oops...I wasn't paying attention when I started this. There are most likely alot of spelling mistakes in my messages, especially about her getting out, I can't spell anyways, and then I was worried on top of that haha I can't fix that either. Oh well... ^_^
