Went for a hike. *DUW*

Ive been trying to plan a hike for my sister and mom to do since they have both lost around 150+ pounds combined doing weight watchers, something small to start off with. So I found the place and we went for the hike yesterday. Heres the pics.

Looks like a lot of fun! You definitely have a nice hiking spot there, its finally getting nice enough here to go outside and run around.

Tell you mom and sister congrats on the weight loss. I know how difficult weight loss can be and their success is commendable. How did they enjoy their hike? By the pics, it looks like they had a good time. Good choice on their first hike - it's beautiful.

I sure will tell them. They really enjoyed the hike, when we first got there, Mom was saying she wouldnt make it. When we got back she was very excited that she made it the whole way. She says now that she want to do a hike atleast once a week:).

The black belly was a very small one, ive found some about as long as your hand and have very powerful bites. The bites actually hurt pretty bad:P

That's wonderful. I think getting out in the fresh air and sun does wonders for anyone! It sounds like you'll be taking many more trips. ;)

Yeah, its SO peaceful when you go for a hike in the smokies. From the wildlife, flowers, scenery, etc... it makes it a wonderful and relaxing thing to do.

Im looking foward to doing hikes each week, already got them all lined up ready to do.:D

Gorgeous pictures and congrats to your mom and sister! My mother is doing weight watchers at the moment, lost 22lbs so far. My sister is doing a combination of weight watchers and south beach and lost 30lbs. I know hearing your family's success stories will cheer them on.

I LOVE salamanders! I can't wait until we go up to our cabin and can go on some hikes of our own to find the little guys.

Thanks, Moms been doing weight watchers off and on for a couple years and has lost around 86 pounds. My sisters been doing it for about a year and a half and is now a lifetime member with them, shes lost around 75 pounds. As for me, well I would rather not get into that.:P

Wheres your cabin? Anyone who comes to the smokies usually finds salamanders. The dont call us the "Salamander capital of the world" for nothing.:cool:

we found some last summer when we were up there but I never got any pictures
