    New enclosure advice
    I was wondering if you guys can help me understand this better.
    Would this be efficient enough for 5 full grown BPs? I only have 3 BP's right now that are young. I plan on getting two more and I plan on keeping them till they are full grown and some. I'm not too familiar with the rack systems and the cage systems these companies offer are just out of my price range. Also maybe you guys would understand the specs more for me. Does this particular rack come with heat for all tubs, lighting etc? Or is lighting not needed. Does this particular rack hold the humidity BP's need? My enclosers are horrible when it comes to holding humidity and I really feel its not healthy for my snakes! Maybe I have a real dry house or room.. either way would this eliminate that problem. Check it out here

    Aren't CB-70 racks Ideal for larger breeding size females, and a little too big for anything else?

    They are good for adults. In my 1960 rack I have everything from a 300 g female up to a 1900 g female. I only have the 300 in there because I have yet to make a hatchling rack. She eats every week no questions asked too.

    I don't know if I want such a high rack considering I don't think I'll own more then 5 snakes at once. At least not anytime soon! I always thought the RhinoRaxx where made better?.. Please continue to help me get the right one! I want to make a purchase at the end of the day! I really appreciate everyones help. :rockon:

    Do yourself a favor and give yourself more than one day to research this. There are a lot of options out there. I suggested the 1860 rack only because the tubs are cheaper and more readily available. The CB-70 is also a good tub for adults.

    They have racks designed for three different brands of tubs (Iris, sterilite, and rubbermaid). The rubbermaids are not big enough for adults so you would choose between Iris and Sterilite. Both nice containers. It just comes down to which tub is easier/cheaper for you to purchase. The racks themselves are identical in construction, just slightly different dimension to fit the right tub.

    CB-70=33.5"x17.75"x6"
    1860= 34"X16"X6"

    If you do decide to go with AP, they don't offer a five slot rack, but they do have a 6 slot. Nothing wrong with a little extra space!

    check out www.jasons-jungle.com also I don't own any of his racks, but they appear to be of good quality and Jason is a great guy to deal with. I bought a few bp's from him last year. The folks over at AP also have incredible customer service. The boaphile racks are of good quality also, but I've hear many, many people complain of their service, or lack of it.

    Jason has a 5 slot breeder rack that at 37"x22" would be big enough for even the largest ball pythons.

    This was the rack I originally wanted to buy.. my concern is that the tubs are only 5 inches high??? is that enough height?..

    that is just the part number for the sterilite containers from walmart. 1960 is the exact same tub, but thats the number they use at target.

    Yup, 5" is fine. They're not climbers.

    Well scratch that one... I just contacted Jason and he said he doesn't make the 5 Slot Breeder Unit anymore because there wasn't a good enough height for the tubs and when he'd close the draw on the snake while curled up on a rat.. he said he'd have to squish the snake to make the draw shut! :)
