Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
Wow, that pleco is amazing!
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
thank you, sorry, but I know... :D we've wanted to get a vampire for about 3 years now and I can't believe we finally have one...
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
Great pics, I love every single animal! :)
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
Fish are hard to photograph.....nice pics!
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
Nice! I have had some bad experiences with barbs... They nearly killed my angelfish. Is the vampire pleco the same as a gold nugget pleco? I just got a gold nugget a month ago and they look very similar. I love the redtails too :) they're alot of fun to watch. Sorry lol. I love fish and I love aquariums and I had a little nerdgasm when I saw the pictures.
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
Very cool:cool: I don't do fish but I love looking at fish tanks:D
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
the gold nuggets are very similar (similar adult size, love driftwood, etc), but they have the white/yellowish trim on the pectoral fins while the vamps don't... and although this one is still too small I guess to see them, vampires develop a shape by either side of their mouths like look like vampire teeth... :D or at least that's what's supposed to happen...
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
niiiiiiiiice! How much did he run you? My gold nugget was $45. I also really like the red fin plecos, have a few of them.
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
ooooh i looooove plecos. i collect them! my 210 holds most of them although i do have plecos in all the tanks except the brackish one.
i love your raphael cat... i have a giraffe cat and two sun cats. gorgeous fish but they get so darned big. don't know what we'll do with the giraffe when it gets too large for it's tank... when we bought him we were told he was a dwarf, but when he started his huge growth spurt we realized he wasn't dwarf after all LOL
i think, of all my plecos... my adonis is my fav (for today anyway) - her longgggg back fin is so pretty...
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
HAHA!!! I scrolled down to the Beardie... Took me a sec! Great fish! VERY Hot Dragon! :sunny:

Wow it would be really cool to have an all pleco tank!
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
no actually that would be mega boring amy. our 210 is filled with eels, plecos, loaches and then of course some nice mid/top swimming fish as well. since plecos tend to be hiding or on the bottom of the tank, it would look empty without the rest of the fish in the tank. ;)
but it is nice to have a large enough space to create a cool ecosystem for them all and watch them grow!
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
Well ok, maybe a 210 gallon would be boring lol. But a 20 gallon I think would be alright.
Re: some new semi-aggressive fish
I'm waiting til we move back down to Austin before we really start with the fish... I don't want to have to move large tanks (at least not aquatic ones) at all... but once we're down there, we're going to be adding quite a bit, and I DEFINITELY plan on collecting a few plecos. Is there anywhere you recommend for obtaining some of the more exotic plecos?
I'd also really like to try out one of the small species of freshwater stingrays... :D
