Strangest snake I've ever seen
We were cleaning out snake tubs this morning and had to take Cinder out for a soak due to a stuck eye cap after her shed. Came back in the office and found a new snake had moved into her bin! I'm not sure what breed this one is, but she sure is cute!

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
Haha, yeah, we'll definitely keep her...although I really don't think she would like it much if we stuck her in the rack! :taz:

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
LOL Great picture. Mine always try to get close enough to bop the snakes when I'm cleaning. Hudson especially will have his paw over the side waiting for them to peek out of their hides. Thus the reason I do my best to keep them away while I'm cleaning and feeding.

Yup, same here! I keep the door closed if I'm messing with the snakes, but Cinder was out of the room in a soaking tub when this happened. Mona Lisa, the cat, *loves* crawling into small spaces, so she jumped on this rare oppurtunity!

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
I'm always amazed at my cats. For being such aloof creatures they are incredible hams.

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
That is just classic LOL My cat Billie is the same...is there is a box to climb into she is there:D Great pic!

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
My husband recently got some new dress shoes for a dress whites inspection on the ship. We tossed the box down after he took them out and the cats have found many a way to amuse themselves with it the past few days. Give them a box or paper sacks and they are happy kitties.

All the $ I've spent on cat toys.. and the #1 hit here is the ring off of a gallon of milk... best cat EVER! That and a brown paper bag with a ball of tin-foil in it! Go figure!?!? :P

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
Haha I'm gonna have to try that paper bag/foil ball thing...maybe even after a bit of catnip.
Last night at the pet store they had a tiny black long haired poof ball that I was so sorely tempted to bring home. My heart is stuck on getting a Turkish Van, though, so I managed to resist, but barely! I did come home and contact a breeder, though. She has 2 litters not quite ready for adoption, and will be calling me for an interview tonight! I'm almost sick with excitement, but wondering if she will consider a house full of snakes, mice and rats as a suitable environment.
Haha, no rats for Mona, although I'm sure she would have enjoyed that even more than the snake hide!

Mine love balloons, not blown up just right out of the package. She'll find them if we have a party its over the cat owns the balloons

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
Oh that is too cute! Though I think you are taking the "should touch all sides of the hide" a bit far there...poor kitty needs a bigger hide me thinks! lol
Our old female cat (god rest her soul) used to love those mylar birthday balloons. She's bat at the hanging ribbon then jump high and grasp it in her teeth and proceed to parade around with "her" balloon. Wish I'd thought to get a vid of it back then! Eventually when the balloon finally lost it's gas and floated down she'd totally ignore it with that typical hauntiness that cats have..."thing that floats and is shiney...you are now beneath MY notice!"

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
Ha, I have tons of cat play-tunnels that she'll crawl into maybe once a month. I guess I should just get a large cat pan, cut a hole in it, and let her pretend to be a snake more often.

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
Awesome picture, Sarah...looks like a mighty spoiled kitty there!
Cats are probably my all-time favorite fuzzy animal...so aloof and proud, while at the same time, total goofballs at heart. Gotta love 'em!

Thanks, ya'll :D
I'm really glad so many others are finding this pic as cute as I did!
And yes, Mona is a spoiled thing, she's most commonly referred to as Princess Mona around here.

Re: Strangest snake I've ever seen
Oh my, I have spent tons on cat toys and my cats have made toys out of the following:
Plastic bags, pens (they LOVE pens, Hudson carries them around like dog bone)phone cords, dvd cases, snake skins (oooh yes, make believe dead thing, they love it), glasses (especially the ones with water, they are fun to tip over then bounce around in) bamboo, couch pillows, boxes, Ryan's P coat, clothes (any clothes, Cooper will pick them up and drag them about the house, he does this with blankets as well, pull them right off you and away) books, magnets on the fridge (the joy is jumping up to bat at them then sliding down) door handles (how long can you hang on?) shoes, shoe laces, any of my hair accessories, towels (pull them off the wrack PULL I SAY!!!) shower curtain (Jump up, claw in and sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide down)....
You know...My cats are evil. :) But I loves them.
