    EEK she is gone...
Went to clean my tubs today and I pulled Zuri's tub out... no snake. Thought she was under the bedding, nope. She is MIA and got out somehow. This morning around 6am a few things fell off of my computer desk... scared the you know what out of me, but I just passed it up as the cat doing it and rolled over and went back to sleep. Now looking at it now it had to be the snake because the cat could have not knocked over those things. Also I noticed my calander was pushed up on to my rack. She was around here.

Just tore my room apart and no luck so far finding her. :(
I just hope I find her in time before the cat gets any ideas....

Check near your heaters. I'd imagine your snake would try to find a warm, dark place to curl up.

Good luck and use your flash light. I had Zeke get out 4 times in 5 days...kept saying there was no way he could lift the books!! Now I have locks:D On one escape I tore my closet apart 3 times but did not completely pull out storage tubs, just looked behind...the little guy had wedged himself inbetween the lid of the tub and the shelf...did not see him until I shined the flashlight and looked up under the shelf! Good luck!

This gives me a good reason to clean out my room. My room is like a large closet in size, pretty much just my bed, computer desk, guinea pig cage, small dresser, and snake rack all crammed together in here. I'm running out of places to look in, around, at....

The cat isn't doing anything to help in my search of looking. Nothing seems to spark her for out of the norm.

I've had a couple escapees when I was younger, and I always ended up finding them by hearing them. I'd look everywhere with no luck, then I would just wait and listen. Within a week I'd eventually hear a little rustle or something and jump up and go find the loose snake, usually at around 8:00-10:00 pm. Once I heard the window blinds in my kitchen, so I ran in there and my little guy was wrapped around the cord, just hangin' out. I think he was on or under my refridgerator for the heat.

My huge male keept getting out and I always find him in the dresser or desk cramed under stuff or in the drawer. I would check there. Be careful opening the dresser.... the snake could be draped over the back of the drawer and you could squish em.

Had to take apart my computer desk one time to get him out of a drawer he got stuck in. not fun. he now has dubble locks on his tub.

I'm so sorry, hope she is found soon. Tubs that aren't in racks worry me, seems to easy for escape. Best of luck

I think this snake was in a rack...correct me if I'm wrong, Allison--but from her description of her room she has a bed, desk, guinea pig cage and a snake rack.

Be sure to check behind all the tubs in the rack. My last escapee technically wasn't my LAST escapee, because she let out one of her friends by pushing out her tub from behind!

    Good luck!

    I found her!!!

The little brat was in my dresser, right under where Jinx's flexwatt is hooked up for his tank. I swear I pulled everything out of my dresser yesterday and she was not there. I also threw about 50 cat toys that make noise around my room and house in hopes to hear one jingle. Oh yeah and I stayed up till about 3am last night just sitting in each room of my house just listening for any kind of noise. Also the poor cat lived in the cat carrier most of yesterday, last night, and today.

I was totally bummed out all day today at work. For once I didn't want to be there taking care of Pete's snakes, but wanted to be home looking for *MY* snake.... one that was just a rinky dink baby normal.

I came home this evening, looked her for... no signs, none of my traps had moved, my father didn't hear anything out of the normal. Gave up and decided to take a shower. Went to get a pair of socks and man was I happy to see that little girl looking right back at me when I pulled it open!!!!!

She's got the lid on her tub. She won't be an escape artist anymore!

I had one get out once and after looking everywhere couldn't find her and finally gave up and went to the other side of the room and figured I was going to clean a little, starting with one side and moving to the other. I picked up an empty DVD box (well not the dvd box, but a box set so it was bigger) and when i picked it up i had a snake peeking out at me. I nearly peed my pants! she doesn't scare me but boy was I surprised!
