Re: Show Us Your BP's Home
Here's some of my setups. I use three different kinds of racks, Vision, Freedom breeder and Animal plastics (from right to left) with the Coke frig incubator and beardie melanine tanks in the middle.

Re: Show Us Your BP's Home
Yeah, It looks like he is well cared for and content. I used similar setups before I built my rack, I just couldn't help myself. I meant no offense. :)

My cool side was off by about 2 degrees. I had the smaller mat lying around--and I read on the forums somewhere about someone using a mat (in a tank setup) on the top of the tank to raise cool side temps.
It bumped my cool side up enough to make it perfect :) Good use for the mat that's been unused.
I use flexwatt on the bottom and the small one on top and my cool side is between 81-83 and my warm side is between 91-93 all the time without a problem :)

There's a reason you see so many tubs, even with folks with one ball python. ;)
They are easier to maintain heat and humidity properly in them.
Glass tanks can be made to work, with a lot of modifications and tweaking and a lot of "baby-sitting" by misting to keep humidity up, etc.
There's a sticky at the top of this forum on how to set up a glass viv properly, Cassandra, one of our members successfully keeps her ball in a nice glass viv set-up.

I have a few in glass tanks which are alot more work to maintain the temps. I also have some in tubs. Tubs are much easier to maintain all around.

Re: Show Us Your BP's Home
Why thank you! They are big and a little bulky but I love them and the snakes seem to love them and crawl all over the place at night. Austin is always sprawling out over everything and my corn snake is always on the prowl.

Re: Show Us Your BP's Home
I have a tub for mine to grow a bit in:
http://i.ugtz.com/albums/Jens-Terrar...7_07.sized.jpg
and he'll graduate into his permanent home (shown here without all the fake plants that make it look nice:
http://i.ugtz.com/albums/Jens-Terrar...1_07.sized.jpg
right now the tub is inside the cage. He's still too young to be out in the big enclosure, although I let him explore it for fun after handling sessions.
To be honest, the large cage is much too tall - I didn't realize how tall it was before I got it. I may in fact buy a different size enclosure for my Ball and move him to that instead - save the big one for something else like a BRB :carrot:

Re: Show Us Your BP's Home
Heres my boys set-up. Moved him to a tub for now to try get him to eat, once hes bigger he'll be goin in here. Or maybe a boa!

Here's Al's crib:

There's an AcuRite in the back right, you just can't see it too well. He also just ate, hence the aspen in the bowl.
