Homemade Hides?

    Homemade Hides?
    Well in my tank i have only one hide i guess and i just want to make 2 hides but i dont have any money at all now. So i was wondering if some one could show me how me how to make hide and can someone show me a good way to set up my tanks hides also? Well I have a 30 gallon tank now. And i can take wat ever out to make hides.
    Here is a pic of my tank on the way it looks now. I just want my bp to be happy.

    I just use clean boxes, like the cardborad box that pop tarts, gummies, etc come in. Of the appropriate size

    Go to walmart and get those plant holder things. They are like plates for small plants. They're different sizes and by flipping it upside down and cutting a hole, i find it to be the best solution. They cost like 80 cents a piece so its cheap.

    WalMart small kitty litter pans with a whole cut into them.

    go to any one dollar store and you can buy 3 bowls for a dollar then cut them

    Yeah my snake is pretty big. lol its about 4 1/2 feet long i havent got a chance to weigh him yet tho.

    Some cool whip containers, cut to be a little shorter and with an entrance soldered into them :)

    EDIT: Whoops...didn't see that your snake was 4.5 ft before I posted that :) I imagine that it'd be hard for him to fit in even the jumbo-sized cool whip containers!

    that's what I do for my big girl

    I also do the plastic bowls from the dollar store for my smaller ones

    those cheap glad containers are what Ive always used. easy to cut a hole in . make great humid hides too.

    Here's an example of a small kitty litter pan turned into a hide.


    $3 for the kitty litter pan, $5 for the solder wand to solder the entrance:
