Returned [DUW]
Over a week ago, Puppy quite literally 'broke' out of his cage. Which is my fault for trusting a shoddy cage of someone else's making. The house was searched over and over and over. He was later found 9 days later, in a computer desk drawer of the busiest computer in the house. Funny, huh? Hiding in plain sight. So, since I found him, I gave him a few days to settle in and eat and then I couldn't help but take some new pictures with him.

I tried taking some of just him but couldn't seem to get any I liked. So we'll work on that later.

I thought the same thing. How does a 5'3" snake disappear in a small house, with no openings into the wall. We looked everywhere, even the drawer he was later found in. My guess is that he was a few slithers ahead of or behind us when we were looking.

I'm a girl. Puppy is a boy.
As for everyone else, thank you :D I'm glad I found him too, he happens to be my favorite. He has a few small injuries, like some chipped scales, but nothing that won't be better after a few sheds.

Re: Returned [DUW]
Those are amazing pics of you and your boy! How big is he? he looks huge!
Man, I can't wait till my boys get that big...
(right now, I'm estimating that Merlin is around 1300 grams, and Loki's closer
to 1100 grams.)

Re: Returned [DUW]
Pretty large for a male.. glad you found him. I would definately make sure your caging is improved! I know how it feels to not only have an escapee snake, but also to find it dead in the basement.. hopefully if you're like me, one escapee experience will fix that and you won't let it happen again. :)

I don't know how much he weighs, but he's good 5 feet, 3 inches long [1.6 meters] Plus, I'm also a little on the small side for a girl, and in pictures, it makes him look a bit bigger than he is :)

The only reason I kept the wood, plexi glass, and wire cage he was given to me in was because I didn't have the money to make or buy a better one, and I figured I could stay on top of minor maintenence. Wrong. He decided to pick the corner closest to the wall and pretty much fight with the wire on that corner of the lid until he had forced the wire out of where it'd been glued between the two layers of wood, and slithered right on out. Now he's got a nice glass terrerium with those snapping lids :) He seem rather put out that there is no give when he pushes his nose against the top and walls.
