    Pics- Cali Kings locked up
I am currently breeding 1.1 Eastern King snakes and 1.1 California king snakes. The male Cali king is a normal-patterned chocolate and the female is a banded cali king. The female is 9 years old, 5.5', and about 800g. The male is about 3 years old, 4.5', and about 550g. I am sorry for the low-quality photos. Enjoy:

Well..after 2 months of cooling and 2 months of warming up/feeding, they begin to show interest in each other. It takes patience and time to breed snakes ;) .

Even though they have a high feeding response during this time, they don't care to eat each other, although the males do bite the females to cling on to them.

I didn't know if there was anything special other than a general cooling. I know i have heard of people with corns, that they don't do anything and they breed themselves no problem. I didn't know if cali's/all kings were this way or if they needed an increase in humidity to stimulate the breeding and all. Thanks

No, I have had the female cali for 9 years and the male for about 3 years. This is their first breeding.

I thought that you meant to say "woo hoo! how cool, did you get them during brumation?"

Now that I cleared up the confusion, I'll answer your question. During brumation, they were exposed to temperatures in the 55-65 degree range for 2 months.
