    Great News Today!
I've been on the job hunt for the last few months...I like my current job okay, but its not what I want to do forever, and I just get by from month to month. I have been applying to technician jobs at the Mayo Clinic in town (which may I mention is the hardest place to get a job at).

Well finally today I got a call from the Mayo Clinic to schedule an interview for an ECG technician position. It pays a significant amount more than my current job, so if I get the job I can save up to move out on my own and hopefully expand my collection a bit further:D .

I REALLY hope that the interview goes well, I think it will be an interesting career, and there is much room for advancement. My interview will be on Monday morning, please keep me in your prayers, wish me luck!

Coo'. Nothing worse then being in a job you dont like that much and that barely gets you by. With the way living costs are going up, and wages don't follow, I feel bad for those 10-15 years from now. I mean I have a GREAT paying job. But I can't even live on my own! Unless I want to live in a bad area in a studio and be lucky to only pay 800.00 a month IF I'm lucky.

Yeah, I couldn't imagine paying California housing costs. I'm lucky if I can afford to move out in the next year, the real estate market is flooded with houses/townhomes/apartments so prices are coming down a bit. At this point I would be okay with a studio apartment, but I can't even afford that! I don't hate my job, I work with saltwater fish/inverts which I love as a hobby, but as far as a job I'm getting burnt out working with it during the day and then taking care of my own tanks.

Yeah to be honest, I don't see myself living in Cali my whole life. Too expensive and I just don't care for it. I'd rather move to Arizona or something like that.

I hear ya Mike, I would LOVE to move to Arizona, they basically have perfect weather year round plus gorgeous scenry. I'm sick of the cold and snow! However, my girlfriend doesn't want to move to Arizona...

    Just a quick update!

The interview went really well today! The panel of three that I was interviewed by were all very nice people. The job seems like it will be exciting...they are supposed to let me know by Friday if I got the position or not, then I will start training.

This job will be 20 hours a week, but it pays better than my full-time job, which is always cool (more money for Daytona:cool: ). I just have to figure out what to do with my current employer (I could stay w/ and work a day or two each week)

I'll let you know if I hear any more good news!

You have a pool in Dirty Jersey?

I'd take you up on that as long as I don't have to wear a banana hammock, oh yeah and I'm allergic to furry kitties. Teehee. If the benefits include baby albinos, I'm in.

BTW, hopefully the pay increase can help me afford a lesser this season! Maybe a few others aswell.;) Or....a lot of beer in Daytona.

    Thanks fellas!
