    Quick Question
Hey! I should be starting to get eggs in 8-12 days and am going to put a container of moss/Bed-A-Beast in the one female's cage since she'll be laying so soon and was wondering: Should the "moist-hide" replace her regular hide, or should I try to fit it in there without removing anything? Also, do I leave the lid off of the container full of moss/Bed-A-Beast or do I put one on with an entry hole cut out of it? Thanks so much!

Maybe she just wants to make a place for her female to lay.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that it is just a place for her to lay them since I'm housing them on paper at the moment.

What kind of cage is she in now? You still want her to feel secure so what she is in now makes a difference.

    Re: Quick Question
She's in a tub on a rack. It's not a huge tub, but it's not too small either. She's been spending a lot of time out of her hide (and the temps are perfect), so I assume that she feels secure enough to come out.

I just picked up a few tubs and some glass for egg-containers for my incubator. I'm starting to get everything set up, so I should have everything ready in the next day or so.

Also, should I be using vermiculite in the container that I'm putting in her cage for her to lay them in instead of the moss/Bed-A-Beast? I'd really appreciate a quick answer so that I can get everything set up. Thanks!

I will start out that this is how I do it and I am sure others differ...

Since you are in a rack (which acts like a hide) I would remove the extra hide. The Moss is fine just for laying on and will increase the humidity in the rack to help her lay. I personally just put a sterlite box with moss in the rack with her (no top) and they get in it when they want to. I also don't have any other hides in my rack (again since the rack acts like a hide).

    Hope this helps.

Ok, Thanks! Since I was trying to get it in there last night, I just put a thing of vermiculite in there. Is vermiculite OK to have in her cage instead of moss? Thanks so much!

Thanks! This one was bred to a Pinstripe male and weighs 1650g. I should be getting eggs from 2 other females aswell; one of which I should lay 2 weeks after this one (1100 Het AlbinoX1700g Poss Het Albino).

    I can't wait!
