I agree with Ed--look like termites to me, too. It's the body and coloration that tell me that. Otherwise, their faces do look ant-ish...but I think they're likely termites.

they are termites. you need to get them killed off fast or they will ruin your yard and house.

Oh yes, termites. They burrow in almost anything. I bought a pile of mulch that was termite free at the time... by the time I had left it for a week it was infested with the nasty little things. I'd take care of those guys- and quick.

K, so this is intresting for anyone that has termite intrests! lol

The guy said that it is not uncomon to find them in the yard... The fact that the house was treated 1 yr. ago, means that the treatment should not have worn off yet. He is coming to do an inspection just to be sure.... he said that the treatment basiclly makes a barrier that the little buggers can't/won't pass....

So, huh? Who knew! I'll feel better after he inspects everything!

Here's a little something that a lot of people don't know.
centipede = 1 set of legs per segment.
Millipede = 2 sets of legs per segment.

    Nice looking Millepede.

Another tidbit, is that centipede legs are laterally positioned whereas millipedes have their legs directly underneath. :nerd:
