    AAR clutch #1 for 2007
Here are a few pics from our first clutch of the year. These little ones started coming out of the eggs this morning. This clutch came from breeding a male coastal jaguar that was also a genetic red to a nice normal coastal female. So, you can see below red jags, normal jags, red jag sibs, and normal jag sibs. Still have about 14 more to come out, but here are a few shots for now.

Awesome clutch!!! I really think that the red jags will stand out from the others as they mature.

So far here are the numbers I have:

    33 eggs
    4 infertile
    2 dead in egg

So, 27 good eggs with live babies, out of these it looks like we'll get:

16 jags (one set of twins)
13 sibs (one set of twins)

I haven't counted up which ones are reds yet because 10 are still in the egg. Once they are all out I will get a count on the reds as well. But, jagwise we did alright :)

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Yours is the first clutch of '07 I have heard about, clapping! It's also the first time I have heard of 2 sets of twins in 1 clutch. What are the odds I wonder.

How's the progress on your other females especially the Jungles studded by Skunk (/Opel)?

Thanks Charlie, now we just have to wait out the week or so until they shed so we can really see how they look. As for the odds of two set of twins, I don't know, but I do know that Yasser had a clutch with 6 pairs of twins in an IJ clutch a couple years ago if I remember right. So, it seems like when they come they come in bunches.

Deb is for sure gravid and well on her way, I am still not sure about Opal. She seems to at least have some nice huge follicles, but I am not sure if she has ovulated yet or not. We will keep you posted on the boards for sure!!!
