Dwayne Richard Inquiry
Has anyone heard of this guy?
http://www.albinoballpython.com/
He has a good offer on the table, but I can't seem to find any information on him. All I could gather is that he was exclusively into albinos and is now wanting to branch out.
Very nice guy, had no problems answering our questions and didn't seem in a hurry to push a sale through. Gorgeous snakes, too.

Re: Dwayne Richard Inquiry
Gorgeouse snakes!
Is he at NARBC? 1,000$ is kinda inexcpencive for a albino ball!

Re: Dwayne Richard Inquiry
Yes, he's there. See, that's what I was thinking....even if the hets didn't prove out, and I have no reason to suspect they wouldn't, I'm just sayin'....well it's still a good deal for 3 snakes with one being an albino!

Not only that if you read the site he says you get:
1-Albino Male
1-HET Male Albino
1-HET Female Albino
All for $1000!!!!
That is one heck of a deal IF true

Wow!! No kidding. I thought that was what he produces.
"if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is."

Yea, not knowing anything about him, it just sounds fishy. He also lists a Dallas phone number and a Palmdale CA phone number...kind of odd.
I would be overly cautious with this one.

Re: Dwayne Richard Inquiry
It also says delivery STARTING LATE SPRING. You could very well pay the $1K, or make the deposit, and then not get ANY babies later. ANY sort of problems w/the clutches, or even if he got the right x.x ratios, there's no guarantee he'd be able to deliver YOUR set of snakes.
Good luck in finding out and deciding!

Re: Dwayne Richard Inquiry
Yeah, it was creating quite the buzz!
I was thinking of putting down a deposit, but I have decided not to because if I did, I would want to use a credit card that could reverse charges, for my own protection. That's a red flag, I guess, because there are people here I haven't even 'met' yet that I would have no problem handing cash to and KNOW I would get what's promised, without any doubts.
Still interested in any info anyone has, out of curiosity, but I'll hold out and spend more with someone I know I can trust :D

I agree! I would not take a chance on this "deal" for 2 reasons. The first is because nothing can be found out about him.The second is the snakes are not produced yet.I personaly will not send money for something that has not been produced yet even if it was a big time breeder.

Re: Dwayne Richard Inquiry
Yup, Joe, good points!
I was really surprised no one knew much about him.

Something else just popped up in my head.I hope its not someone under another name! To make myself clear i am not stating that he is someone else with a new name.

Re: Dwayne Richard Inquiry
Sarah,
Dwayne is a pretty good guy. He has been doing it for quite some time now. The guy that was sitting at the table with Dwayne, I believe had some animals on his table, is Morton Wright. Morton is top notch, and I don't think Morton would associate with scum. Just my two cents for what they are worth.
p.s. I have not ever dealt with Dwayne, but I don't believe you would have any problems.

Re: Dwayne Richard Inquiry
Hey, Tim, sorry, I just now saw this.
Thanks for that information, I'm happy to finally hear something about them!
They were definitely very nice, took time to answer our questions.

Not necessarily that odd. I have had a San Antonio number for my cell phone for the last five+ years. But have had residences (and residential phone numbers) in Virginia, Alabama, and Arizona. More and more people are keeping original cell phone numbers even after they move to new locations....it's just easier.

I would agree with you that this is a new trend that seems to be emerging...but when combined with a single page website (which is coming across as a business), 2 phones from seperate states, along with a "too good too be true offer" the whole thing seems odd. With any business the persception of the customer is very important...as a career marketing manager this is very unusual for a business to do.
Just raised my red flags...but I see from other posters he is OK.
