    WoW--Anyone Play?
It's been a good 6 months or so since I last played WoW, but some of my friends talking about Burning Crusade has started the "itch" back up. When I first started played, I played for a few months, let my account lapse, then came back for another few months, then let the account lapse again. Seems like I enjoy WoW most in bursts.

Sad thing is, the people I used to play with are now in their 60's-70, and the only friend I know with a low-lvl is on a different server AND she's playing Alliance. I'm a strict PvP server Horde-roller :)

    Anyone here play WoW?

Nope - I was a Big Everquest buff though :D You really have to have time for it though, and that's something I don't have in my college, kid, and mostly-sober days

I got a lev 63 lock. I sorta like BC's but I'm sick of the leveling. As if getting to 60 was bad enough. Now, we have a few lev 70 BE's already. God how can one grind that fast.

Hehe...I happen to play Diablo, too. Or at least, I used to ;) My boyfriend and I recently re-bought Diablo II (the 2nd or 3rd copy for each of us...Diablo II CD's are mysterious and dissapear or self-destruct after the'yre neglected for too long) so we could play LAN games when he visits :D

I played Guild Wars before I got into WoW...it's a good game for what it is, for sure.

For the longest time I resisted WoW because of the $15/month thing. When I had time to play, it was worth it...now I'm not sure if it would be--school keeps me pretty busy.

I quit before I ever reached 60...I think my Troll Shammy was 58. I was so close, but just completely lost interest in WoW that time around. And how people grind to lvl 70 so soon? The answer is: They have no jobs. They have no social life.

Wanna hear something crazy? A dude in France went from 60-0 in 28 hours. What server are you on?

I was (and I guess technically still am) on Twisting Nether--it's a PvPRP server. I'd never play on a "Normal" or "RP" only server...gotta have the possibility of being randomly ganked by a ?? Alliance whatever--it makes you strong (and annoyed).

Don't you have to flag yourself as "PvP" in order to be attacked on RP and Normal servers? I don't like the idea that you have control over it...as annoying as random, repetitive ganking can be, I think it's all a part of the experience :D It gives you the impetus to want to be 60 so you can perpetuate the cycle of senseless ganking.

Yeah but the alliance on our server always travel in packs and are known for camping you. It's nice to be able to turn it on and off.

But then you can tell your guildies how pissed you are, and they'll roll in with their 60 (well, now I guess it'll be a bit higher) characters and kill the crap out of the campers :D At least, that's how it works with my guildies...it could also be because I'm a girl--and boys like to help girls.

Meh, by the time they get their, the alliance moves on. And pretty much all the alliance who are 60+ on my server have tier 2 armor and epic weapons.

I dunno--I've done some pretty good Alliance-baiting in my time.

Guildies: "Just keep them busy till we get there...one more minute"

Me: *resing and running around, taunting them ruthlessly*

    Guildies: *arrive and decimate*

Hehe--if you toy with the Alliance and make them -think- they've got the upper hand, they'll usually stick around long enough to get pounded into the ground a few times. :D

I guess since that's the type of server I've always played on, I look at WoW ganking as a fact of life. That isn't to say that sometimes it ticked me off so much that I logged off for a bit to fume (especially during my Stranglethorn Vale times...), but it amused me sometimes, too.

Does anyone -actually- RP on your RP server? Ours is a PVPRP, and no one really makes the attempt to RP...occasionally you get someone who will. But not often.

Yep, I play. Level 61 Human paladin. I'm on a normal server(Aerie Peak.) Oh, and the whole "Everyone on Alliance is 12" thing: false. No one in my guild is under 18.

I've never heard of that stereotype. I'm fairly sure that the 13-year-old kid issues that pop up on WoW are split fairly evenly between the Alliance and Horde sides...and that all of those immaturity issues aren't limited to the under-18 set. I'm sure there are plenty of immature 20-somethings roaming around--I meet enough of them in my day-to-day college life to believe that it extends to WoW, too :D

I've been in wow since the betas, I take "breaks" here and there, right now is one of them. I haven't been on in probably a month or so. I got my wife BC and she still plays regularly with a few characters.
