    Ebay question
Well i need to know something from those that are more familiar with the Ebay rules and such.I recently won a proof set of coins(wife year) and i paid the seller thru paypal 2 seconds after the auction ended.I have yet to hear from the seller and i am getting into a not so nice mood:P .I have sent a direct email(earlier today) and the payment cleared the same night i paid it.So my question is how long do i have to give this person until i snap on them :D ? The person has alot of good comments but after going a few pages more on the feedback i found a few that never received the items. So i await your assistance here :D

Usually if you pay through paypal, the seller will just send it out and you won't hear from them. If you sent him and e-mail today, wait till the morning. Gotta give em some time. Btw how was your payment withdrawn from? Your bank account or an actual credit card? They don't cover you if you pay thru your bank account. Lame, I know but on a credit card you're fine.

Don't trsut Paypal or E-bay. Cause E-bay owns Paypal. They wont cover you unless you pay thru an actual credit card. Otherwise you arent covered. I lost 115.00 since I paid thru my bank account. They said "Sorry" ... I owe Paypal 175.00 for an account I sold and the person did a chargeback on the account and 5 others. I don't ever intend on paying them back so If I were you, I'd really watch what you buy. Unless they has lots of sales and damn near perfect feedback.

Well i just looked at the persons location and it turns out that i have a freind that real close to his store :D .Yea i remember you talking about being ripped off in that deal. The person has over 20000 positive feedbacks but a couple negs last month.I think i will talk to my bank and see what coverages i have with my Visa check card since its viewed as a normal Visa or a debit card. The main reason i am getting in the mode that something is wrong is that he states he must be paid within 5 days.So i think he needs to get on the ball lol.I will update here as things happen.

I got one of them too this week from a seller on Ebay I bought from.

It's unable to be tracked though. No record exists for the tracking number on the PO website.

Paid on the 5th. Supposedly shipped on the 9th. No package on the 16th. No response to my inquiries to the seller.

    Gotta love Ebay.

I was. The wife wasn't. Their feedback was 99.7% with over 100 ratings so I figured it would be safe.
They are from New Jersey. Maybe the snow delayed things.

Joe, I have been using Ebay for well over 5 years now. In my time of using Ebay, honestly, I got ripped off once, a pretty good amount.. and it was never recovered... although, it was not Ebays fault, it was the seller, who incidently ended up getting canned from Ebay for alot of similiar offences in a short amount of time.. I paid by MO..and I believe this was part of the problem....

By Ebay rules, a seller has something like 30 days to get you your item/items.. but generally, I have never had anything come later than maybe a week and a half later..and that was with using money orders as payment (till I got paypal)...

since using paypal it is very quick, honestly, alot of times I dont get email/hear from a seller on my item/items right away, but with 2 days seems to be about the average time, I generally get an email letting me know my item was shipped. I do check dates on the shipping material once the stuff arrives so that I can verify a seller is being truthful... as I have had a couple who lied to me about even that. After completing my transactions, I ALWAYS leave feed back that reflects the nature of the transaction.

Working through Ebay to acquire the stuff you want/need/fiend for is OK, as long as you are cautious and check a sellers feedback. You have to decide for you what constitutes a good seller based on the feedback comments, be it, positive, nuetral or negitive...it is always a calculated risk when using Ebay, but for the most part, my experiences with most of the sellers I have worked with have been great.

Yea i understand what you are saying.I did send a email to the sellar of these coins and told him about the smudge on the inside of the cover on the coin itself.I reread the whole auction and never once was mentioned of any defects. To tell you the truth i now see why he says ebay auction stuff can not be returned at all  .I will await for a response before leaving feedback though.

    Re: Ebay question
I don't think there is a problem with e-bay or Paypal. they're both useful tools and i'm glad I have access to them...i think it's silly to blame e-bay or paypal for poor customer service. Some people who sell things feel that their customers don't deserve customer service. no replies, no phone calls, no e-mails, no nothing..poor customer service. Seems a lot of people are unappreciative of people giving them money for a product they're offering. Whenever I sell something, I make it a top priority to ensure they have my contact info, a tracking number, and they're happy in the end. It just doesn't make sense why some people ignore their customers :confuzd: it's just shady business practices...ebay has nothing to do with that.
