    Snow Day!!!
This has been a crazy few days here. It started last week on Monday night and went all week long, let up for Half the weekend and started back up last night. It's crazy how much snow we got. I think it was over 100" in two days, something like that. I don't know what we are on now, but it sucks!

The rottie can't even walk, the wind is too strong:

Snow plows and snow blowers are useless, we had to call in the farm boys!:

I don't like snow anymore. Some is cool (SNOWBOARDING!!!!), but THIS much is insane!

    Snow should be :banned1:

:sigh2: We got a storm last night and today...we got MAYBE 1/2" of slushy snow before the RAIN (that's right, rain) started and turned the "snow" to ice. I had to walk to class at two different points today, and have been wet from my waist to the lakes in my boots for a good portion of the afternoon. FINALLY I'm in some pajamas and comfortable.

I'd trade some rain for snow any day of the week at this point...all I want is a nice, blanket of WHITE SNOW OUTSIDE :(

    Then again...I don't think I'd want as much as you've got! That seems...scary. :)

That sure is alot of snow... reminds me of living up north in Maine... It's gorgeous watching it come down and seeing everything lightly covered and on the trees...but...not for me. I'll stick to the frigid 75 degree winter temps of Florida...

Ok honestly though... I do miss some of it... I miss snowboarding, snowmobiling and ice fishing when it's not 50 below zero outside w/windchill factor Burr!

Gotta love that lake-effect snow...both of my parents are from Buffalo/Rochester area of upstate NY...they moved in the 80s and never looked back. Even VA is too cold for me...I'm moving south the first chance I get...

My brother lives in Buffalo. I've never seen snow accumulate so fast in my life...I arrived one day with absolutely zero snow on the ground...it started to snow later on that day. By the next morning there was like 3.5ft of snow or more on the ground!! Yikes!

    Re: Snow Day!!!
The best part about lake effect snow is that it doesn't necessarily have to blanket a vast area...think of your Florida thunderstorms and how you could look down the street and watch your neighbors get drenched, but you stay completely dry...same thing up there, except with snow.

My uncle is a meteorologist up there...he'll tell ya all about it.

Awe MAN, I cam completely symapthize with you, Jim! You should see it here in Acade; the town is not bad, but I will have to get some pics of the driveway here.. it is horrific. mark is out on the tractor right now doing battle with it.. I am ONLY super glad that the power has not gone off; we really need a generator.
I saw near Oswego, they had about 12 feet.. &^#&!@^%@%!!!

Boy and Toledo thinks they got hit. Now that is snow! Hope all is well with you there Jim and you've got a good stock of supplies in and the power stays on (I still think like a chick from Canada don't I LOL). Hunker down, pour a shot of something strong and thank God you're inside warm and safe. :) That's an incredible mess of snow!

We just got hours upon hours for SLEET - the roads were so slick the town called everyone to tell them to stay the heck home. My college closed for the day, and I missed a test

The BEST part about today is that I got to spend valentine's day with my family :D It was a big treat
