I decided to try breeding this season after all

After Jared my pastel started eating again he was gaining pretty nicely (495 grams now) and I found a sperm plug when cleaning his tub so I decided to see if Scarlet (1700 grams) and Jared would lock up.

I had to go get a wisdom tooth pulled this morning so this made up for me feeling crappy :)

I know a few people on here have built them out of all kinds of neat, easy, accessible, & affordable things! If you go that route, I'm sure someone on here will be willing to give you more info / help you out with it.

I actually think I'm going to go the route of using a small dorm size fridge

I just found one on freecycle I'm going to go pick up this weekend

Just curious, what is a sperm plug? Obviously it's a "plug" of "sperm" but what's the sperm plug thing all about? Is that an indication that the males have reached reproductive maturity? What do sperm plugs look like?

if you search for sperm plug you'll find posts with pictures of them
