    Toledo's snow storm
Just thought I'd post some pics of the small blizzard we're getting right now lol. The snow is more than twice as high as it is in the pictures right now!Enjoy!

That's so pretty! My kids have never seen real snow. I need to take them somewhere that gets it.
The bad side is, my husband is stuck in St. Louis right now. The flight he was scheduled for was cancelled, and hopefully the last flight here will still take off in 20 minutes. Otherwise I'm gonna be sad and lonely on Valentine's day!

I am sure that is pretty unusual for you! I visited my grandma near Youngstown one year, and they had a few inches.. the town was shut down..
Now, WE have snow here in western NY! About 2-3 feet, with another foot on the way tonight; grrr! Wanna trade?
BTW Andrew, I love your avatar!

I'm across the city from Andrew and it's awful out there now...blech! Glad we are all home, tucked up warm and a pot of coffee on for our favorite evening tv shows. I was out in the storm for awhile and let me tell you walking home from the bus stop was NOT a fun time had by all.

    I hate winter!

Haha, I know what you mean Jo! I had to walk around the block to the carryout, and froze my butt off! Your not the only one who hates winter :P Can't get snakes shipped to you. Can't ship snakes to others. Can't build enclosures as fast due to time it takes for the paint to dry, and having to work inside...I hate it :(

LOL Not real good hon! Seems everybody has a lot of unassembled snowmen in their own yards here in Toledo right now so there's not the market for it I had hoped for. :P I'm now thinking of bagging it up, shipping it to warmer places as "pond inna bag"....whatcha think?

    Re: Toledo's snow storm
Wow Ohio sure freaks over a bit of snowfall! We are under a "Level 3 Snow Emergency" apparently which is....

LEVEL 3: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be out during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roadways may subject themselves to arrest.

Imagine that! You can get arrested for driving to the store LOL. Now of course I understand that idiots make more work for emergency personnel but good lord we didn't even get that much snow really. I guess being born in Canada and living in northern Michigan I kind of have another perception of what a real bad hit of snow is.

Oh well, no school today for the kidlets. :) Oh and anyone know when a snow storm became a "weather event"??????

I wish that they would shut our town down like that! My work doesn not care about the weather.. they closed for snow once in the past 5 years, and that day everyone had to come in and were merely allowed to leave 2 hours early.. but they give us each three "emergency days" where we can call in with no writeups (I used two already, go figure, lol.)

Well I think in Ohio Jen the employers don't have a lot of choice in the matter. Once they go to this Level 3 stuff then employers are asking you to break the law to drive to work (unles of course you are in a very badly needed profession). Personally I think it's a bit of an overkill when we didn't get that huge an amount but maybe for this area this much snow is a lot (our first winter here).

    Re: Toledo's snow storm
Yeah this much snow in Toledo is a bit of a deal here. Normally we don't get snow like this. We do get some hot summers occassionally though...every couple years lol.

I must admit, being a transplant to Minneapolis from southern kentucky, I am really enjoying the lack of snow this year. course, we could also do without the sub-zero temps, and -35 wind chill. cant have both I'm told. either no snow or really cold
