How amazing are these pieces of art :eek: , i think this guy is one hell of a talented artist....

That is amazing! Odd that it reminds me of my favorite movie as a child...Mary Poppins and the street art in that movie. :)

It's really cool when you see pics of them at an angle other than the one he takes pics of...shows how distorted they are...

yeh i hadnt thought of that lol , it must look real weird and distorted from different angles

I've seen his work before (not in real life...but other pics on the web). Truly amazing and fascinating stuff!! I don't know how he does it, but the guy must be a spatial genius!

I have seen these pics before, and i thought it was cool to see the straight on shots along with the side shots, totally blows your mind, i love the diving one!!

Those are really brilliant! He's got SUCH an amazing hold on perspective! It boggles my mind. In some of those, they're so 3D, I can't even fathom that they're sidewalk drawings... in-sane!

i've seen a lot of his work... and each one amazes me... how he does it blows my mind!

Wow those are awesome. My favorite one is the one with the people climbing thru the hole in the ground.

Your friend picked the master. His name is Julian Beaver, and he's effectively the inventor and master of perspective sidewalk art. Not very many that can hold a candle to his work (you should see his self-portrait chalk work).

What's really incredible, is that this "graffiti artist" is now paid by businesses and cities to do what he does :).

By the by... another guy that's relatively famous for chalk art is Kurt Wenner (http://www.kurtwenner.com/streetportfolio.htm. While Beaver does a lot of pop art, Wenner's chalk art is very medieval, with a lot of Biblical overtones.

I saw this guy on tv. They said that people actully walk around stuff thinking that it's real at first, then as they pass, they realize that it's just "painted" there.

That is really awesome.

It's mind-boggling that those are flat paintings.

yeah I saw these a while ago....its absolutely incredible...and by the way...they wouldn't get washed away when it rains

wow thats neat.if only he could make drawing like that on the streets but of snakes:D.
