Joe, you only hear about the bad ones. There are hundreds of thousands of good transactions DAILY. I've never had a problem with ebay, and still use it from time to time. Fortunately for me, i've only had run ins with the good guys. it's that positive rating that tells all!

    Congrats on the win :gj:

Thats awesome!! Glad you had a good experience. I have never personally used e-bay. Main reason, theres never any guarantee. I have friends that have used it several times and had things go both ways.

Cool beans! I love ebay, when something goes wrong the buyer either did something wrong(didn't pay soon enough) or the seller was unreputable. Just check the seller's feedback and make sure you pay quickly. Everything should go great! :sunny:

I buy and sell on ebay a lot. Have a 100% rep. I have never had 1 problem with buying on line. I did not recieve one item but it turned out that someone witnessed the item being taken from my front porch. Luckily it was nothing expensive.:D

Thanks guys and gals! Well this week kinda has a extra meaning to it all in its own.As of 2-9-2007 it will be 6yrs since my last day of working, then 2-14-2007 will be 6yrs since my cancer operation. Then while i was in Intensive care Dale Earnhardt had his accident :( .Even though i was unable to talk or respond i heard(someone left tv on) that he had passed on.Then after several days i woke up and i wrote on paper asking my wife if what i heard was true or just a dream.Sadly she told me it was true.So just to let everyone know i will be "low key" for the next several days so if i dont respond please dont take it personal. Thanks

Joe my dad was in and out of the hospital in 06 for some pretty serious stuff...we won't get all into it, but it took him out of work for nearly the entire year. He got pretty bored and i told him about how people can make a lot of money selling stuff on e-bay. You should take that into consideration. I'd like to try for a few weeks to be one of those 6am garage sale shoppers...they get all the good stuff, and throw it up on e-bay!! One of my teachers in my first college averaged between 2 and 3,000 dollars a month selling cloths...do the math on that, that's between 24,000 and 36,000 dollars a year. not bad! E-bay can be fun. it is work tho.

Thanks Nate  .See the thing that freaked me out about this auction was after i bid he changed the ad stating someone hacked into his paypal account so he would not take it.So i contacted Ebay and had all of his info before i sent out the USPS money order that he would have to sign for :D .Then to make things better he only lives maybe 2hrs from me lol.So if he jacked me he was not going to far :P .Now the thing about selling stuff on Ebay i would not let anything go that i have ITS MINE :8: :8: .

Congrats! E-bay is dangerous... so many tempting goodies! I've never had a bad experience on it, except for wanting to get too much. :P It's a gold mine for folks with Bohemian tastes! ;) I'm not allowed to browse e-bay anymore because of it. Weird Al speaks truth!

I have been selling and buying on eBay for about 10 years. It is amazing how much things have changed over those years. I have never had a really bad experience as a buyer. Like stated above if you use Paypal you are covered for bad deals. On the selling end, I have about 1 buyer a month that does not pay me or something stupid like that. During the spring I sell about 1000 items a week, most of my items are garden related.

For all you buyers out there, there is an easy way to earn CASH BACK on each purchase you make on eBay. I have been doing this for about a year. You can earn money back on the fees that the seller has to pay. Follow this link to learn more about it: http://www.bigcrumbs.com/crumbs/fron...jsp?r=jbkdford

The money ads up quick if you buy a lot like I do.:D

BTW, I just got a great deal on a roll of flexwatt off eBay. a roll of 50' -4" Tape for $50! :sunny:

I had one bad dealing since '99 and that one was taken care of and I was refunded by ebay itself. I didnt have to fight with the guy to get my money back...ebay did that for me. they refunded me and went after the bad guy.

Glad you dealt with a good seller.

I'm going thru business as usual with ebay.

Paid for the auction on Feb 5th, got an email from the post office on Feb 9th listing the tracking number, and now on Feb 14th, I see this below when I try and track the package. Looks like I lost another $41.91 to Ebay. I really need to stop using that site.
