Please keep Rena Ross in your memories :(
Hello everyone, this morning my dog was euthanized. She was a 9 and a half year old Doberman Pinscher. She was overweight when we got her and it made her grow alot of fatty tumors. Last night she could barley breath and she could not lay down because when she did she could not breath. SHe was up all night with my sister and mom and at 5:30 this morning my mom was able to get her to lay down on the couch. At 11:00 A.M. CST 1-31-07 she was euthanized. She was in so much pain. THere at the vet My mom, siter and I cryed. It felt as if she was a family member and as if i lost a family member. Please keep her in your memories. I know it will be very hard for me to get over her as we had her for 3 and a half years. Thank you very much.
Andre

Awwww so sorry to hear that. I love Dobies - great dogs and grew up with a few of them. My friend had one who named Zeke. She had to put to sleep last year because he was old and had horrible hip problems (took him forever to lay down, get up, go up and down the steps). I cried so hard when I found out they had put him down. Actually just reading your post got me a bit choked up.
She was a very beautiful girl Andre!

Dobies are great dogs, she looks like she was a sweet girl.
You and your family loved her enough to let her go, I'm sure she felt the love.
Just imagine her on guardian angel duty. :)

Re: Please keep Rena Ross in your memories :(
Andre,
Very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet. She was a beautiful girl!
Re: Please keep Rena Ross in your memories :(
Her real name was rosses little adriana and her moms name was lil lena and her dads name was maxiumum overdrive. Her parents were show dogs with pedigrees and she obviously was to fat to be in shows. The people we had gotten her from abused her. They never walked her and fed her table scraps as dog food and once in an while they would feed her dog food. Last night she couldn't even lay down because she couldn't breath laying down. She started foaming at the mouth because her lungs were filling up with fluid. At 5:30 this morning my mom finally got her to lay down on the coach. She was up all night standing, walking and sitting down. She could barely hold her self up anymore. It seemed like when she was at the vet she knew what was happening and as if she was glad to go and be out of pain. It seems like it didnt even happen but I know it did and thats what hurts inside. Thanx for all of the love and care.

Re: Please keep Rena Ross in your memories :(
It's always hard to lose a pet that has become a part of your family - just the simple fact that they have "free reign" to roam around the house and insinuate themselves so utterly into our lives. That fact makes their absence that much more noticeable than a pet who is confined (outside/cage/aquarium etc). Sorry to hear about this man - but sometimes the end is a relief and release - and you can possibly find comfort in that.

Aw, I am really sorry for your loss. Sad that it seems like her death was caused by previous irresponsibility (not you, the people who had her before..)
