//SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I've been sorta, kind of talking to this guy. Nice guy and all.... a little boring, but hey not everyone can be all that exciting all the time. Well I guess he didn't believe me when I told him that I worked for a snake breeder, that I work with and around hundreds of snakes daily and that I own 7 of my own.
Let's just say he will never step foot in my house again. Also he is horribly uncomfortable with the fact that I own snakes and let them chill out around my neck. He even freaked out over one of my freaking pictures. He told me he HATES snakes. //sigh//
Actually I'm kind of amused. This makes guy #3 pretty much high tail it out of here or away from me. Really now I swear I'm not a ugly witch or anything LOL. I guess some guys just can't accept the fact that some girls own snakes. He just kept saying "didn't that take some getting used to?" "you aren't like most girls..." "don't those snakes make you uncomfortable?" "did you have to handle any snakes today?" "have you ever been bitten?" and so on.
...and all I can do is laugh while I sit here with Nova wrapped around my shoulder who is just hanging out with me. :D

and I call this picture: Nova-Gonna-Eat-YOU!!!!
Man don't you all know that she is such a face eater. LOL please... this girl is a total sweetie!!!
Ahhhhhhhhh I love my snakes!
Now... back to the drawling board. Gotta find a guy who is 23 - 30 who likes or is at least okay with me owning snakes.:oops:
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
well it's really a great way to weed out the loosers!
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
With me they have a chance if they pass the pet test. If you don't like animals just keep movin'.:D
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
Your standards are way to high, you need to find someone in the 19 year old range with his own ball pythons:)

ROLF! to the above quote!
I feel you Allison. The guy I have been dating on and off (and on and off....) for the past 8 months doesnt like my snakes and it causes major issues between us. I just need to bite the bullet and say bye to him but darn it is hard. End point though is snakes will always be a part of my life and I am not willing to change that.
Wish ya the best of luck girl, and hey if he was boring, at least him not liking snakes wasn't the only thing not right. (Can you imagine years with someone who you couldn't talk to???)
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
Man! Wow!
My Condolences...
Guess I got lucky (and no you can't have my husband! LOL)
Maybe try 'shopping' for a date at your local petstores and/or reptile-exotics shows????
Kinda like looking for a "normal" guy at the grocery store... :P
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
I guess i got lucky, too! Mine is fasinated by them, always wanting to learn more and even helps me clean all the tubs (and we all know how icky THAT can get!)
Don't worry Lilly - they ARE out there! Just dont accept anything less than someone who loves snakes and youll be okay lol.
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...

LOL I use to go to horse shows / horse expo's and check out all the hot & nice cowboys. Yup, you must like my animals - don't have to love them, but not nag on me all the time about wishing I'd get rid of them, etc.

Justin,
You are a little to young for me.... :P
I like those older guys ;)
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
Oh if only I could find a tattooed hottie that likes my snake
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
I'm lucky my husband is easy to train. Now if I can only train him to CLEAN the racks...
Good luck on your search. They are out there.
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
I hear ya Allison. Not easy to find horse, reptile, dog, fishtank loving or at least tolerating guys. I've been single for 4 years now and loving every minute :D
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
Best advice sweetie is to stop looking. The good guys sort of hide in plain sight and you never see them when you are looking. We females tend to look at the flashy, stand out guys and miss the great ones (that's why we often end up with such jerks....kind of like all the women that likely went to school with Bill Gates, ignored the "computer geek" and are kicking their butts right now LOL).
Also open your mind to alternative ways to meet men with similar interests. Snake meets, pet stores, the vet office, the zoo....heck BPNet even! I met Mike online of all places in a chat room! LOL If someone had come to me years ago and said "Jo you are going to meet a guy online, he'll be 9 years younger than you, unmarried, never been a parent, from another country and you'll fall in love, move, bring along your three kids, oh and have a baby at 40 with him" :O
Well Allison I'd have told them they'd lost their frickken mind and to go seek some help immediately! LMAO
Here I am, having met Mike and changed so much of my life and sure it's not always been easy but that is life and that is committment to a relationship. Had I kept my mind closed though and refused to see this guy with a quirky sense of humor in a chat room as a possibility, well I'm not sure where life would have gone but I sure wouldn't have my adorable 5 year old or my crazy life (and I wouldn't trade any of it...well most days anyways LOL).
Re: //SIGH// and another one bites the dust...
Awwww:( ,
Just tell your self it was a bullet dodged.
Hope you find your ideal man soon - or failing that a cute, dumb one who is easily trained and has an independant fortune - preferably from "old " money.
Serilously love has a way of blindsiding you when you least expect it. Look around at the guys you have known for years as friends and try imagining them as something more - apparently the ones that don't make you burst out laughing at that point are worth considering.
