Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
Personally I love the wii, and no offense but you probably won't get anyone to make that with you because of the price difference between the wii and 360. I'd keep the wii, theres a lot of good games coming out for it. But on the other hand 360 is sweet and has a lot of amazing games already out for it. well you could keep the wii and get a 360 too. lol

Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
why trade a wii? sell it on ebay for 400-500$ and get a 360 or a ps3 although my ps3 is much(in my oppinion) nicer to have than a 360.
-
Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
you could probably e-bay it and buy an xbox with the money you make from ebay...probably have a few bucks left over too.

Retail prices differ, but with the shortage of wii's available it's value is higher.
Anyway i found a trade on another site = ) :carrot:

sadly its been proven that the 360 is better in comparison to th PS3 even though it had a year longer to advance itself. i own a 360 and i laughed so hard when the results came in. im not trying ot challenge you because i was really angry cuz i wanted to see some awesomeness graphical wise
can i ask why you think its "nicer"

Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
Prolly cause the dvd capability.
It's a better DVD player than it is a gaming system at the moment.
-
Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
i dont know much about the other game systems, but i do know most people i talk to say the 360 is their favorite.
But, i don't think anything like that can be proven, everybody is entitled to their own opinion :)

the ps3 is brand new meaning game developers havent completely harnassed the ps3s graphic abilitys. in a year thegraphics will easily surpass the 360. i own a 360 and ps3 and until more games come out for the ps3 i will play my xbox due to game selection and xbox live. also the ps3 can due "updates" the xbox can do it but not on a huge scale. ps3 updates can include graphic updates add a web browser add online capability etc:)

Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
Just saying as advice: I wouldn't trade my 360 for a wii. Ever. You'd have a better chance of selling the wii(someone would buy it!) and buy a 360.
Oh, and the whole "Ps3 is better than 360 because it's new!" is BS. They've basically got the same stuff underneath minus the blueray, which Sony forces you to buy, when microsoft makes the dvd driver a bonus accesory. That's the only reason ps3 costs so much more; not because of the "ub3r 1337 cell processing graphics card." :soapbx: [/endsoapbox]

Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
the blue ray capability is what makes it better...i've played both and 360 graphics are far superior! and 360 also has a 200 option for blue ray/hd dvd playing...
-
Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
They havnt even tapped the capabilities of the blu-ray yet. Just wait. It costs more because its a blu-ray system you cant touch a regular blu-ray player for less than 900.

The reason why the PS3 is such a deal, is that it is one of the cheapest blu ray players available at the moment, PLUS it is a gaming system
As far as selling the wi and getting 400-500 on ebay.... there havn't been shortages of wii's around my area for months, I see them on the shelves everytime im at toysrus or circuit city, but I guess it depends on the area?

Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
Love my 360 the guys at gamepro recommended it over the ps3, but hay different strokes for different folks.

think of it as this. the hddvd setup is 200$ making a 400$ 360 600 and 300$ one 500$ that alone equals to ps3. then the ps3 has a rechargable controller. xbx 300$ version doesnt even have wireless controller. 400$ one costs about 30$ to get a rechargeable batteryso for the 400$ one that already eqals to 630$. then the ps3 comes with built in wifi. the xbox costs 100$ to get wifi. added on that xbox live is 50$ a year while ps3 online is free.
xbox 360 start off 400$ version+hddvd+rechargeable battery+wifi hookup =about 700-800$ including tax.
ps3 600$ version+ everything 800$ 360 has except a blue ray player and not hddvd=600$

How can you get a "graphical update". Are you saying that they can keep updating the graphics through wifi and that the graphics will never become obsolete because if so, they have some kind of graphics card that nobody else has heard of. I'm pretty sure that in order to make the graphics better, you need to change the graphics card. So please show me where these graphical updates are because I must be hearing it wrong.

Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
Thought I would put in my .02 about the ps3....
we currently own a ps2, and bought the ps3.... tell ya what, it is no longer in my home, it was taken back to the store.... apparently, ps3 is not as backwards compatible with alot of games.... as I have games for the ps2 that WILL NOT play on the ps3. When Sony was contacted, basically it was said that this is a problem that they are seeing with the ps3.
Will I buy another ps3 when they finally get off thier duffs and fix its issues.....not just no, but heck freakin no!
I will be investing into a 360 which has way better graphix in my opinion. The whole not backwards compatible with over 200 game titles really irks me seeing as though I have alot of games that I paid a butt load for and dont want to have to stop playing or re-buy for the ps3... if I am gonna have to re-buy, it might as well be on a 360. In the Dec issue of EGM there was a write up on both game systems and thier pro's and cons, there was even an article in EGM in the January issue.

Re: looking to trade my wii for a x-box 360
I think what he means by graphics updates are that they have not reached teh ceiling on the ps3 yet where as the 360 must be getting close to being maxed out in terms of using its processor to the fullest.
I would buy a ps3 instead of a 360 simply because i still play my ps2 where as the xbox collects dust. but unless you are getting blueray disks its pretty hard to fork over the dough.
What sony did do tho is make a definate descision on which HD format they will use. It was along time that both technologies were up int he air and no one would commit to either tech. Sony going blueray will probably cement blueray as beign teh most logical choice for developers. HD-DVD will probably go the way of the minidisk.
