Help me decide - the blame game

OK, so I have a deep chest cold that started yesterday. I need to blame someone for this ('cause I'm whiney like that! :rolleyes: AND it makes me feel better! LOL).

My best friend at work has been sick with this for two weeks. Karl was sick with this last week. She sits next to me at work. She says it's not her, because she hasn't kissed me, but I didn't let Karl kiss me when he was sick either.

So, who should I blame, because someone made me feel miserable and I have to blame someone! :P

I told her I'd blame her when I'm at work and blame Karl when I'm at home! LOL

Oh, no no no. You're looking in completely the wrong place.

Blame Bush. That's easy. If he would take a firm stance on immigration, we wouldn't have all these darn ferners bringing in new viruses. Or, if you swing the other way, if he would open the borders and pass legislation to track vaccination rates, we wouldn't have this problem. Or, if you swing yet another way, if he would cut back funding for pharmaceuticals, we would all stop dosing ourselves on drugs that make us sicker and our immune systems could handle a little virus now and then.

See, any way you want to look at it, it's Bush's fault.

that sounds like a good blame plan that way everyone gets a piece of the blame...oh wait you live in GA? i know what it was then, my brother lives there too, he said theres this guy breaking into houses in the middle on the night and breathing on people in there sleep and spreading his chest cold..it could of been him..check your locks..

I am sick right now too and I just blame my girlfriend. Why? I blame her for everything:D


Let me tell you how fun it made my classes on Monday and Wednesday. It is only the second week of school so I could not miss and tell me if you would like sitting there for 3 hours straight in one class.

Even if it is my fault, i blame EVERYTHING on Miss Mandy. so you should blame your significant other..always...it works for me.

I firmly believe that some of my snakes do not eat because of Mandy's presence...it's all her fault. I boot her out of the apartment sometimes. :banned1:

you got it from me robin. you couldn't have gotten it from your co-worker or from karl because they have both had it for long enough that they should have passed the contagious stage before you caught the germ. you figure that they were contagious 24 hours before they showed symptoms and for 36-48 hours after. so then give yourself 72 hours to catch the germ and show symptoms. yep, had to have been me. i got sick sunday with the funk, so i was contagious until probably tuesday. you picked it up monday or tuesday from me and it has now reared its ugly head. blame me and blame living in the same state i live in, which apparently was close enough for you to get the sickness too.

Im sick too! I don't blame any body, becasue who cares whos fault it is, I have already gotten sick. i hope you get better soon !!:D

Sorry to hear that being sick sucks! But you could have caught it from any one, colds are transmitted from the eyes or nose not the mouth. So kissing has nothing to do with it. Someone could have rubbed their eye and then opened the door where you work (or touch anything before you did for that matter). I'd go with every one else and blame your ol' man and Bush cuz he gave it to Karl.:D Drink lots of OJ and I hope you feel better

Gotta get sick every once in awhile, I'm in the same boat.LOL

quick fix for sickies:
- 1 airborne tablet dissolved in a small amount of water every 3-4 hours
- 3 echinacea-goldenseal caplets (305mg/caplet) with each meal (3 meals/day) and before bed
- 1 50mg zinc tablet with each meal (3 meals/day)

in 24-48 hours you'll be well on your way to feeling better. whenever i used to get sick i'd be down for at least a week. now it's 2-3 days max if i take that stuff. do it! you'll feel better! :D

this also works wonders toward keeping you from getting sick if you feel like you might be coming down with something. i have avoided sickness altogether twice so far this winter this way--got the scratchy throat and started downing the herbs/zinc/airborne. i now swear on it. :)

I was taking Airborne 3 x a day and loads of Vit. C while Nellie and Karl were sick and up through yesterday when the cough came on. Airborne normally prevents me from getting sick, not this time!

get going on that echinacea and zinc girl! :gj: airborne alone can only do so much (in my experience)...

Eh, maybe tomorrow - I'm home now with my Comtrex Deep Chest Cold medicine, Dayquil, Nyquil and Mucinex.


Comtrex and Dayquil for the day, Nyquil and Mucinex at night (they GOT me on the Mucinex - thought I grabbed the 20 count, but grabbed the 40 count instead for $20! Gah!!!)

It's easy Robin, just blame everyone else you've come in contact with the past month. Preferably the people you really dislike but anyone is fair game. :D

It's pretty bad - you can feel crud rattling in your lungs when you breath. I caught one cough fit this afternoon when I was by the printer and had to brace myself on the counter, because I coughed so hard the room started spinning.

Then just as suddenly stopped coughing and the co-workers yelled over the cube - Robin? You still breathing???? (uh yeah, but thanks for caring enough to come check! :( )

Ehhhh....why do I get so whiney when I'm sick? bleh!!!!
