    "raisin' up" blues
Who else has them? Who has either that special morph, het, or normal who's not yet old enough to breed?
My Spider, I am not sure he's ready. I want to get some weight and aging on him before trying; I would so love to breed him this year, but I don't think it's going to happen.. how about you?
I also have the little normie girl that Cue gave me, but of course she's just an '06 and nowhere near ready.. but it still would rock if she was! Who can co-miserate with me?

I sure can. I have out of 29 BP's only 4 ready to go.....I am not going to breed them this year, I'd rather just get another year of weight and growth....

I am just going to hunker down and feed rats weekly to all my "kids"..I hope the year will go by quickly......

I sure can! I have a whole group of girls I was hoping might be up to size that didn't make the cut. Then a couple of male that are being young and lazy

    You'll get there Jen :gj:

Thanks; glad to know it's not just me. I am at least glad that my pastel guy was breeding like crazy; thus I should be hatching out my first visible morphs this year. But it'd have been so cool to hatch out Spiders too.. ah well, life is a process of waiting and being rewarded for it, I am sure it'll be worth it. :) I get as much joy out of simply keeping them, watching them grow, they are just awesome in general. :)

We've got one female, Saoirse, we were hoping would make size this year but she's so borderline we aren't willing to risk her and of course watching the lovely 06's. For some reason it's the adults that didn't quite hit the weight we wanted or the babies that get me aching to breed them and counting the time. The females that are all in the middle (the 05 group), well we just feed em and watch the numbers and know their time will come. :)

Glad I ain't alone. :) Then again, half the fun is growing them up and comparing little baby pictures with adult pics..

Out of 10 normal females, I had the possibility of 9 making the cut. Only one did, but most of the others barely missed it(1000+ g) and I have 2 or 3 that are 700 g-999 g. As far as my het albinos go, neither of them made it this year. I had no hopes for my male to make it as much as I would of liked it and my female is off feed now for 2 or 3 months so hopefully she will pick back up. She has lost 40 g in the past 3 months and is just shy of 1000 g

I have a few as well as the gorgeous reduced I got from Cue that I can hardly wait to have up to breeding weight. Late this year though, possibly 2008 for some of them.

Last year I purchased what was supposed to be a good size female pastel should have been ready this year but turned out to be a male. So i picked up three pastel females this year, two should be ready by next year but no female pastel this year(wanted to make supers). I do have three other females that are ready and mating this year, two het albinos(paired up with albino male) and a CH reduced girl. The reduced has been mating with a pastel so I hope to produce reduced pastels. When it comes to BP's patience, patience, patience.

I'm DYING for my het albino female to be ready. Her boyfriend, HAM (het albino male) has already cheated on her and has a clutch last year. Shes about 700g now, so next year will hopefully be the ticket!

I'm also awaiting on my spider, yellowbelly pastel, and a little special "something" :) At least I have my pastel to tide me over this year.
    So I feel your pain!!!

I've got a 600+ gram reduced normal female I'm waiting on... she's putting on weight pretty fast so I'm thinking next year she should be good...:D

100% Het pied male that should be good for next year 160+ grams and eating strong!...:)

My pastel Female...which hopefully should be good to go next year!

And of course my Male pastel I'm currently breeding should be doubled in size by the way he's growing! :D

Other than that...I'm sure I'll run into a couple snakes that I'll have to buy that may or may not be ready to breed next year.Your definitely not Alone but I have to say that It's fun watching them grow. Everyone is Eating without failure so their growth is rather constant over here. :)

Oh yeah ... Spirit (Pied Female) is at the top of the list!!!

I wish Blaze (Pastel) would get in in gear this year, but he just is not interested.

We have a nice high yellow normal female that should be to size next year, and a couple het Albino girls also ..... I think Adam is right, the anticipation is what makes it worth it!!!

waiting for the pied is torture. lol. I know it will be a few years, so i try to drop the matter, in 2 years i'll start worrying about it again. My het. will probably be ready by then, but with no mate, there is really no use in worrying about that either.

I accuse my kids of having no patience but when it comes to ball pythons I'm as bad as they are!

I knew my '06 calico male wasn't going to be ready and one of my female caramel albinos is a late '05 and isn't near up to age or size. Ahhhh the waiting game. :(
