Survey Says!!! Favorite Recessive Boa Morph...
I'm always being asked "What is your favorite Red Tail Morph?" I really don't know if I can choose, I love them all! I figured if I narrowed it down a little, this might help. Recessive genetics are probably my favorite group, so I'll start there.

Erm, I think the ones I like are called salmons and hypos, which I don't think I see on your list...unless I'm not thinking of the right names...

Yeah, some zoo has it. I can't remember where either or if it's a hoax or not. Pretty neat though. It could also be a unique snow though too.

It's in brazil I think. I believe the zoo has two of them or something like that.

    I love snow boas :)

I had to look up scoria, but they're pretty cool

I really think a luci red tail challanges one of the main reasons I chose the species, the Rbeautiful RED TAILS!

I missed the recessive part. I changed the title to include 'recessive' if you dont mind ;)

I would have to go with Coral Albinos or Sunglows..... ;)

No Paradigm? :( That would've had my vote ;) I picked Sharp Strain Albino, those things are wicked :sweeet:

Edit: I would've picked Sunglow too Daniel, but isnt that a Recessive/Co-dom cross?

Yep. Albino being recessive and hypo being co-dom

    Scoria, unproven as of yet.
    Snow, Double recessive.

Paradigm is a double recessive mutation. It has neither the sharp gene or the caramel gene showing, but when both are in "hiding" the create a new snake.

I was talking to a few boa people on Fauna that said Scoria is proven as recessive.

Well, that solves it then. haha. http://www.salmonboa.com/featured.html

They are hoping it's a co-dom trait right now, but it looks to be recessive. The only scoria's produced were through the original pair only, which means it might be a mutation just from them only, which can happen. It looks to be a recessive trait, but it needs to be proven from other litter mates and siblings to be correctly advertised as. Sorry Jake.

Ok, maybe it hasn't. Thats just what I heard. I'll talk to them again and see why they said they thought they have been proven.

I did forget one though...leopard morph is a recessive trait, but I thought it was a co-dom, my fault. Sorry.

I would have voted for Leopard if it was ther, but I voted T+. Maybe I'd like the T+ Leopard the best. Got to get working on those DHs.
