They locked up!

Some of you may remember that I am breeding two of my suriname red tails this year. Just this morning I saw that they were locked up! Very exciting.. here's to baby boas! :D

First time breeding? Where is the pictures?

Yeah first time breeding.. I didn't want to disturb them, so I didn't take pictures. I figured there were enough 'lock up' pictures on here anyways. :P

Haha, I haven't seen any Suri "lock ups" yet. Good luck! I'll take a male!

Suri's are late breeders. They usually don't tend to drop their litters until late fall. This is why they are usually only available from most breeders every other year. They can't be bred back to back because their isn't enough time for them to recoop. I don't know how you started them, but if you cooled them this is why they are just now locking up. They need to be cooled for a few months to initiate breeding. I really can't wait to breed my suri next season!

Yeah I know they are late breeders.. they've been cooling since the beginning of November.
