I want one!!!

Went to the reptile store today to pick up a feeder for Zeke and they had a tub full of dumbos!!! they had a siamese, a black hooded and other various colors!!! I really really want one! Hubby says if I want one I have to take the baby Speedy back that I have had for 2 weeks! NO way! Guess I wont be getting me an adorable dumbo:(

Awww... A black hooded dumbo!! :love: Maybe you can sneak it in, and just tell him they had babies? :giggle:

LMAO....I already had a thought along those lines, but mine was a little more straight forward. I just go get it and put it in the cage and wait for him to notice. Which wouldn't take long as they are in our bedroom and I have the girls out every afternoon for a play session!!!

I say go for it. Of course, I don't have to explain to your husband. ;) I take my job as an enabler very seriously. :yes:

awww. i want a siamese. they are so cute. i have black and grey hooded rats, they are sooo adorable!! I say get one, and wait for hubbie to notice. then give him a kiss, say i love you, and you should be okay. lol.

Have to take a trip to the post office tomorrow soooooooo I think I will make the short trip to the store and pick me up a little dumbo:mouse2:

They had quite a few different colors of the dumbos...white, black, black hooded, a himmi, siamese, I think it's called a burmese where it is like a tanish brown. They were all just sooooooo adorable. Hubby will probably be a little po'd for a while but will get over it...I hope LOL It's not like he has to take care of any of the animals. I take care of the rats, gecko, snake, tarantula, dogs, what's one more little rat LOL

Sorry hun :) No pet store is going to have Burmese. Mink, yes, but no Burmese. Those just got imported from the UK just recently. Plain Jane agouti hoodeds will always be my favorite. My first rat was my soul-rat(takes part of your heart when they go) and she was an agouti hooded from Petco.

And a Trio of girls is always a good thing, especially if one passes away, the remaining one will still have a buddy and won't be lonely.

Just read this thread off to my hubby and he laughed!!! Maybe he wont get so mad if I bring me home a baby dumbo tomorrow!!! You guys saw my set up for Snow and Speedy....think it will hold another baby for about a month til I can upgrade????

OK Mink....I will remember that. I am just starting to really look at the different colors and I went on Rat Relmz and thought what I saw looked like the Burmese. Thanks for the info:D
