"red" snakes

are there any snakes that a lot of red colration? i've been looking around and i have my eye on a tangerine milksnake but im wondering if there are any other snakes with red coloration(as in if it runs through most/all of their body)?

im looking for red snakes because red happens to be my favorite color and i've already picked out a name for the "red snake" that im looking to purchase.i would get a red blood python but i can imagine they're very expensive and probably hard to find.

I seem to remember seeing garters and racers that are mostly red striped.

yes but im looking more for snakes that red all around the body,not just striping(belly doesnt matter)

I would buy from them if I kept corn snakes. I have talked to them alot about other snakes.

wow thats the kind of red coloring im looking for.$150....a bit pricy but im sure i could let it slide.i'll keep an eye out for that,at least i know another "red" snake that i know of.

Bamboo Ratsnakes are a definate way to go if you are looking for something red and wicked looking ;)

If you want a small, red boid species, then you should look into Blood Python's or Ringed Pythons. Although they aren't completely red all around, they are very interesting snake's to keep and their contrast is quite beautiful. They aren't beginner snakes though, due to care requirements. Then again it depends all on how much time and effort you are willing to put into them.

you could purchase a hatchling for cheaper and when it grows up the red will be more prominant

You can buy a hatchling bloodred corn for $75 at a reptile expo. Hatchlings aren't completely red, but will become so in a couple years. I'm not sure how old they are when they are completely red as I've never owned one.

blood pythons

Blood pythons are not expensive.. starting around $80 but some do not turn red.. many are brown.

The various milksnake species are red.. there is a patternless sinaloan that is mostly red:

Red mountain racers are VERY expensive and tend to turn brown with age.

Amazon tree boas (some of which are red like the one shown above) are inexpensive, however are very aggressive typically.

blood pythons....have one already:sweeet: . but shes a regular blood and im looking for red blood pythons. as for the other links...thanx!! i have my eye on the bloodred cornsnake since i like the dark red coloring on it. plus amazon tree boas arent for me yet:oops:

What do you mean you have a 'regular' blood? Red bloods are a species.. P. brongersmai. Do you have a borneo short tail? Not all p.brongersmai are 'red' but they're still red bloods.

Oh it's just a baby.. they don't develop the red coloration until a year or two of age. Give it time.

oh lol i forgot about that...yeah shes still a baby so i guess i'll have to wait.the way the red coloration looks on them,its as if they're whole body is a bag full of blood.
