I finally get to make my first post here!!! I didn't even have to pull out any of the big guns. I had been spraying around them, but thanks to some EXCELLENT advice I put them together this afternoon and misted them directly. Jo, as for the misting. I just lightly sprayed both of them, maybe one or two sprays each. It ticked them off royally, but it seemed to do the trick. They were alighned two hours later and later that evening I had a lock.

Well I gave it a try Christie, thanks! They didn't seem to appreciate it much though LOL. Malachi and big Brannagh are all over each other since we put them together for the first time yesterday but I haven't observed a lock yet. It may well have happened, it's not like I'm sitting staring at them hour after hour, but if this misting trick will help things along why not give it a try.

The misting seems to help with my beauties too, I've read that it helps spread the pheramones in the air or something. Also, some snakes dig the "rainy season" so it triggers some instinct there too? Now 100% on those, but I've read it somewhere.

awesome! :gj: i'm jealous of everyone with breeding pairs this season! i'll have to live vicariously through you all. i decided to take this season off--let the borderline big enough girls get bigger and give norah (who laid 10 eggs last season) extra time to recover and be ready to rumble again. plus, this coming season i should have several more girls that will be ready so it will be a nice go at baby makin'. :P
