    Time to get started!
Well I got my male morphs for the '07 breeding season. Been looking around and needing normal females for the Co / Dom stuff. No dice on anything that I could breed this year. I leave messages with people to keep their ear to the ground and...Last night I get a call. There is a man who was going to try breeding his Het pied to the poss offspring to get pieds... and the babys (human) came and the wife said the snakes go. :D :carrot: . I am going saturday to get 4 normal females between the weights of 2100 and 1300 grams with rack and tubs and thermostat.[b] Ding Ding [/d] Hopeing this time next year to have Spiders and Jungle Pastels and Mojaves normals and Poss Het pieds for sale. Wish me luck.

Ed, nice score. Hopefully those females will do good for you. Almost sounds like you'll be needing a new rack soon.
    Congrats,

Yea I am getting the rack he is using now hoping it has two open tubs. After the first of the year building a couple of nice big Sub/Adult 32-41 qt racks and Juvi racks I got a 12 hole shoebox that is running now with my late 06 females in it but my early 06 males need in a bad way a Juvi rack and my big males (normal and het pied) need an adult rack. by this time next year I hope to have an adult rack that'll hold at least 24 and a juvi rack that hold at least that many and a hatchling rack of 24 - 48. Lots to do by this time next year. Not to mention picking up my new addations throught out the 07 year (Lesser 1.1,Cinni 1.1, Pinstripe 1.1, Mojave 1.1 , couple of more pastels and the Creme De La Creme Pied female for my het pied male)

I don't see myself getting much in 07 , but I doubt I'll come back from Daytona empty handed.

Yea Adam is the man I want to be like him when I grow up. He is well know and respected if nothing else that kind of reputation would be reward enough. I will never be as big as Adam not even by half. Its a hobby/passion/love that I'd like to share with others. I'm a bit of a showoff so my snakes are my pride and joy. I drive a crappy car don't have cable/satilite tv or internet. My snakes are my pride.

They are in the house. When we got this house it had a built on 450 sqr ft green room with climite control that I am working no ocnverting in to the herp room. Right now they are in the office or as my wife calls it the oven with a desk.. LOL

I bet I will become like Adam first!!:P ;) I don't want to have as large of a scale as Adam, but I want all the nice morphs that he has, and more, and I want to be able to breed them. I love reticulated python morphs, so I will be doing that also. I will be a collector and part time breeder, if you know what I mean.

My snakes are also in the house, I have built a huge rack, whitch I will go get pictures of soon, that will hold many adults and I will make another for snakes up to 500Gs.

See for me its not about the money I like the whole thing... breeding the spiders to the pastels and seeing those bees or the pastels together and getting that supper.

    Re: Time to get started!
It should definitely always be about the animals first...For me when I first started owning ball pythons back in elementary school it was cool just owning a ball python and then when I got back into them in high school (2000) after I moved up north I started getting more interested in the morphs...they were out of the question at that time price wise but now that the prices have come down and more morphs are available I'm able to finally fulfill my dream of owning these beautiful morphs. This year I'm going after creating some pastels for my first breeding and then next year hopefully a super. For me I'm just so excited to have a chance to breed my own morphs and watch them hatch out. I'll keep all of the girls and hold them back but of course i can't keep all of the males so It's a little extra money back in my pocket to invest in another morph or go towards the expenses such as feeding and such...

I also want a bee very bad  ...Someday I'll make/own one...
