    The Dog Ate What?
Found this on craigslist, and it had me laughing so hard that I litterally had tears streaming down my face. We had a similar case come into the ER where I work, and she describes it perfectly.

If you've ever had Labrador Retreivers you know what the heck they will eat and the answer is....anything that can't eat them first. Here's just a short list of things my two labs ate over the years. Luckily I had a vet who had a lab herself so she understood (having had to remove 4 beer caps from her own 13 year old labs tummy after it went wandering around at the bonfire party).

    - 1.5 lbs of wild bird seed after the neighbour left a bag out to feed the wild birds (that was a fun pump the dog's stomach vet visit)

    - almost everything in the fridge when the door wasn't closed properly (never seen a dog puke that much but apparently eating a full 2lb tub of margarine isn't a particularily smart decision!)

    - two children's bike helmets (that one cost me over $400 in vet bills and almost resulted in surgery when the helmet lining swelled up in her belly..oh and $60.00 for two more helmets)

    - all the hands and feet off an entire collection of Barbie dolls (poor Barbies didn't look so nice afterwards and boy was the kid MAD!)

    - most of a set of wooden building blocks

    - entire big box of crayons (does make for pretty poop in the yard! :) )

    - some sort of toxic cleaning product can from the garbage can (yet another massive vet bill and yet another new garbage can with yet another stronger lid)

    - dirty baby diapers (don't even ask! *gag*)

    - various food stuffs (i.e. defrosting meat, my freakin lunch, etc.) not nailed down or otherwise put up so high a Great Dane couldn't reach em

I swear labs are part goat!

"He looked like a combination of the Pillsbury dough boy and the Michelin Tire man wrapped up in fur. "
That reminds me of the time my dog literally ate homework. My mom went through this super-religious phase and was taking a women's bible study. She sat her paper-back study bible on the coffee table, where my Cairn Terrier somehow managed to grab the bible and tear it apart. :P
I had a neighbor with a lab who ate a doormat!
