Double clutch in '06!!!

Got another clutch from one of our female coastals today!!! Man, I tell you, out of all the females we have, this one seems to be the one that just lives to reproduce! We got her last clutch 11 Mar 2006, so just over 9 months in between clutches. And this one is our first jag clutch to boot, so we are pretty stoked about it!!! In March she gave us 30 eggs, and it looks like she has given us at least that many again this time!!! Anyway, first are pics of the parents, and then a couple bad pics from today.

Thanks for all the kind words!!! I loved our male when we got him, and watching him grow up and now father some eggs makes it even better. I can't wait to be able to take some hatchling pics!!! I will for sure post on here once some of them start poking their heads out here in 50 days or so.

what was the ratio of jags or normal sibs on that first clutch?

This was the first year our jag has been up to size to breed, so her previsous clutches were of normal carpets. But in jag X normal clutches usually about half are jags. So, hopefully we will get 10-15 jags from this clutch. We sure hope anyway!!!

ah, okay. i misread the original post - i was thinking these two bred earlier this year as well.

Oh, I see where that could have been confusing. No, the earlier breeding was with a different male. So ya, this clutch is especially exciting for us. We have been looking forward to hatching jags for a LONG time!!! Thanks again for the comments.
