Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year
Over the last couple of days I've organized my subscribed threads into folders for easier reference. In the process of doing that, I added some threads and deleted some from my listed subscriptions. I reflected on how many interesting and fascinating threads, I've read and took part in over the past 9 months.
I also thought about how many very good, informational, and educational threads get thrown to the bottom of list over time here by bantering threads, bickering threads, picture threads, etc. (Not that I mind picture threads....)
So I thought this would be a good thread to start. What threads did you find highly educational and enlightening over the past year?
It doesnt need to be the most viewed or the longest thread or even one in which you participated. In fact, one the reasons I started this thread is that sometimes we are away from the site and we miss a really good thread.
For example, I thought this thread titled Stopping imports(and a Couple questions) was very interesting. In it I felt I was truly educated......I never thought of ball pythons as animal that could possibly develop into a pest for local people in Africa. This thread discusses some of the ecological management issues that factor into the ball python trade.
If you do participate, please tell us the title of the thread, try to provide an internal link, and tell us why you thought it was a great thread. It can be any topic, husbrandy, genetics, general herp, other snakes, lizards, venomonous.....etc.

Re: Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year
i really like this thread on IBD - even though this thread isn't an old thread... i think it's sooo full of great info that it deserves to be remembered.

Re: Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year
Whether its recent, or from the 1st of this year, it doesnt matter. Locked or unlocked......it doesnt matter. Time to look at those subscribed threads....

Anyway.....back to the original topic......
Debates, advice, agreements, polls, the synthesis of knowledge..morph, hybrid, business-related, off-topic.....I'm looking for classic discussions, not blurbs or one-liner quotes.
Here's two other classic threads for the year 2006 in my book.
Possible hets
that wierd "morph"?

Stangs,
I have a classic thread for you, it's not from 2006....but it fits your above post so well.
Instead of calling you flip, perhaps your nick-name should be CHiP. :)
I did find a somewhat interesting thread started by you here. This was an interesting post, but learn to reference your work-that way people will take you more seriously. If people take you seriously every once and awhile maybe you can contribute a classic thread or two.
So what publication and date were those pics taken from? I see a volume and number..

Re: Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year
I know all about CHiP.....:carrot:

You can earn your way into this rank and you can earn your way back out of it again by posting relevant original posts or responses, using your Edit button when you think of something add after you hit the Submit button, and keeping your posts in the section for that subject or purpose.
I do that alot, but I try not to do it.
Thats really the only thing I do, I don't try and raise my post count, I could careless what my post count is.

Re: Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year
I was thinking more along these lines.....

You definitely know how to use the edit button I see....just not in the most constructive way.

See the hyperlink to your original post in my post above.
(Chip-Read carefully before you post a response...this is a forum, not a chat room, no need to have an immediate, split-second response all the time.)

LOL...you know it.
But my point was more general...it was anal retentive example mind you...
My general point-people think you, Adam, are funny because they don't think your a joke.
If people take you a bit more seriously, Stangs, then you give them the opportunity to find you humorous as well. Someone who tries too hard to be cute or funny, typically isn't.

Re: Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year
I don't try to be cute or funny, I am the oposite. I like to have fun...anything wrong with that?
-
Re: Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year
sigh...back to topic....anyone have any favorite threads they like to share from this past year?
-
Re: Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year
