If you want to stick them in a post just right click on them 'copy image address' and paste them in a set of image tags in your post: [ img] image address goes here [ /img ] --just take out the spaces in the brackets.

Very cute little spotted by the way. :)

You used [ url ] tags instead of [ img ] tags.

Here is another way that may help you. Go to your gallery and click on the picture you want to post. Under it is a bunch of info, with the last line being BB Image Code:. Copy the contents of the box next to the bb image code, then all you have to do is paste it into your thread. I hope that helps.

Thx for picking me up there with the pics. I'll have this down for my next pics.
My guy is very docile. It keeps surprising me. I am prepared for him to be alittle upset with me sometimes.
I only hold him after his daylight has gone out and he is out exploring the cage. I know new snake owners, like myself, always write in asking if a certain behavior is correct for their snake. So now it's my turn. My guy hides all day. I see him in the different levels of the rock tower I have on the warm side. At night i can usually catch him climbing around the fake plants i have in the tank. Based on what I have read about spotteds this seems ok. I am I just being a newbie to be unsure about what my guy is doing? Or is there something I'm doing wrong? temps 89/77 hum 48-55, 10 gal tank, uth and che heat on johnson control stat. news paper sub.

I have a Children's python, which Is about the same snake, and looks to be about the same size, and he, or she acts the exact same way. Hides during the day, on the warm side, and is out climbing all over at night. Eats like a pig! I am feeding pinky mice F/T . He snaps those up! Sounds like you are doing everything just perfect! Mine is in a 10 Gallon too. Really beautiful snake.

My spotted hides all day too (like my Ball python) and is normal as they're nocturnal. Spot likes hiding in his warm hide too - your rock stack sounds great - like the Retes stack that all monitors are supposed to love - means they can choose exactly what temp they like - where did you get your rock stack from? I'm having slight problems with my temps (stupid faunariums :( ) my hot side is 86 point something and the cool side is 73 point something. I read the best temps for these are 75 cool and 85 warm - think I'll try upping his temps.

We only got ours on Christmas Eve so are leaving him to rest and settle in so no feeding or holding yet :(

    Re: new spotted pics
i found my rocks on or around our property. We live in SW Missouri and there are many limestone slabs here. I found a few that had hollows in them or were stackable.. I soaked them in a mild bleach/water mix for a day. Rinsed them for a day and then put them in a pot, filled it with water and brought it to a boil. I let it boil for 2 minutes and then turned off the heat and let it cool down in the pot. I figured after the bleach and boiling not much will survive. My guy loves to hangout in all the nooks and hollows in the rocks. I have a bucket full of replacement rocks i will cycle out of the tank to be cleaned. I have only held him after his light goes out or when at night. During the day it would be a chore to carefully move the rocks to get him out.

the no holding for a week after you get them is the toughest. It's like buying a sofa and then waiting a week to sit on it.

The rock idea I'm going to have to try - I'm sure mine will love it. I came downstairs this morning to check on his temps and he was still out exploring all round the viv. Do you know if this type of python can see? I know BPs are supposed to be practically blind - he didn't seem scared of me at all. I didn't touch him though (sit on hands time) I know what you mean about being unable to touch. I'm going to try feeding him today or tomorrow then leave him a couple of days then start to torment him :P He's actually a year old and a bit and I don't think he's been handled much so should be something of a challenge maybe to get him not scared of hands. Poor lil guy :(

I'm not sure about their eye site. Although when i approach the tank during the day. If he's hiding in the rock tower with his head near the edge he will move out as if he sees me. My guy was alone for a week and then I fed him a f/t pinkie in a separate container and he ate it in like 10 minutes. I have been holding my guy for a few weeks now. Even whe he has not wanted me to pick him up he has never tried to bite me. I noticed a definite change in my guy as feeding day approached. He stayed up into the morning and spent more time out in the open during the day.
How long is ur guy? I haven't got an accurate or even semi accurate measurement. I have no idea of his weight.
Is that u in ur gallery of pics with the hognose jewelry?

    Re: new spotted pics
I haven't measured or weighed him yet - he just seems so slender and small after my BP and boa - and even my hoggy. He was still out and about in his viv this morning at 8.30 (apparently Thursday was feeding day for him) so he had a defrosted pinky. Means in 2 days we can finally hold him :)

The girl with the hognose accessory is my daughter - it's the only way I can get a picture of Noodle (hoggy) she just won't stay still when she's out. :P

My 8 yr old daughter is the only other person in my house who will hold my snake.
Little Joe was out on top of the rock pile this morning. Feeding day must be approaching.
